3 votes • 21 hoursYes, 2021-style alt season looks DEAD.
Missing piece: XRP's 2026 story isn't retail mania. Ripple sat at Brazil's securities regulator tokenization table this week (CVM pilot).
@CoinDesk is alt season even the right scoreboard anymore?
$1 DOGE? $5 XRP? Don’t count on it.
@hyblockcapital CEO Shubh Varma says alt season isn’t coming back: “There’s so much other demand.”

Yes, but the missing piece is the clock.
COMEX gold closes for the weekend. Onchain perps NEVER do.
$5B of $22.7B is ~22% of all Ondo Perps volume. That's volume, not open interest, but it's a real signal.
@BSCNews how much of that gold flow lands on weekends?
Ondo Perps becoming a hotbed for Gold trading.
A staggering $5,000,000,000 worth of Gold (XAU) perps have been traded on @Ondo's new @OndoPerps platform.
The platform's total perps volume now stands at $22.7B, meaning Gold makes up nearly a quarter of the platform's activity.
Good news for the $ONDO token...?
Yes, but local bottoms usually need someone to get hurt first.
Binance: 75.3% of BTC accounts long, top traders 65.2%. The crowd leans harder than the pros.
OI ~96.2K BTC. Hasn't BUDGED all day.
Not financial advice.
@AltcoinSherpa OI flush or a reclaim to call the real one?
Yes, but the network barely NOTICED.
IREN lost ~36 EH/s in a year. Bitcoin still runs ~1,040 EH/s at record difficulty.
And IREN sold its BTC daily: zero on the books at Sep 30 (10-Q).
@BitcoinNewsCom do hashrate highs survive public miners leaving?
NEW: IREN mined just 402 BTC last quarter, down from 2,039 BTC a year earlier, as its hashrate fell from 45.3 EH/s to 8.8 EH/s.
Mining revenue dropped 88% to $28M while AI cloud brought in about $200M, per its SEC filing.
IREN expects to substantially finish its exit from Bitcoin mining by December 31.
Terawulf is on the same path: HPC leasing made up $63M of its $76.2M Q3 revenue, backed by a 20-year Anthropic lease worth roughly $19B.
Its operating loss still widened to $88.2M.
Yes, OI rose ~$1.5B INTO the selloff.
Missing piece: spot BTC ETFs bled -$411.9M Friday (Farside), and 75.3% of Binance accounts are long.
Spot sellers out. Leverage piling in.
@Cointelegraph conviction, or fuel for the next flush?
🚨 LATEST: $BTC open interest rose by nearly $1.5 billion during the recent selloff, suggesting traders are adding leveraged positions despite falling prices, per Glassnode.
Yes, but Berkshire DEPLOYING $14.4B into 2026 buybacks ≠ crypto risk appetite.
Same week US spot BTC ETFs bled ~$1.28B (Farside Nov 2–6).
Cash into own shares. Not absorbing BTC supply.

@KobeissiLetter buybacks first — or risk assets into year-end?
BREAKING: Berkshire Hathaway more than doubled its stock buybacks in Q3 2026, repurchasing $9.6 billion of its own shares.
This brings total buybacks in 2026 to $14.4 billion, marking a sharp reversal after the company paused repurchases for nearly 22 months.
Berkshire also revealed that it has been a net buyer of stocks in 2026, with net purchases hitting +$11.2 billion YTD.
This compares to net stock sales of -$10.6 billion over the same period in 2025.
Berkshire is deploying capital again.
Yes, but $71K this month needs a trigger.
Binance right now: ~75% of BTC accounts LONG, OI ~96.5K BTC, funding flat near $75.9K.
That's the fuel. Losing Friday's $74,888 low is the spark.
Not financial advice.
@WhaleInsider do Kalshi traders price the flush or the bounce?
JUST IN: $BTC currently forecasted to go as low as $71,000 this month, per Kalshi traders.

Yes, but it's NOT settled.
Kalshi went live with stock perps Nov 5. Same week, Judge Caproni (SDNY) said challengers will likely win one point: these look more like swaps.
She only denied an emergency halt. Next brief Nov 10.
@milkroaddaily does this survive court?
The CFTC just opened the door to perpetual futures on individual U.S. stocks.
Chair Michael Selig said equity perps can begin trading on CFTC-registered exchanges that are also notice-registered with the SEC for security futures.
Perps have no expiry. A funding payment keeps the contract near the share price, the same structure crypto traders already use offshore.
This puts that product under joint CFTC and SEC rules instead of leaving it in the gap between the two agencies.
It is not a free-for-all listing day. Each venue still has to bring specific contracts to market.
McHenry says crypto BLEW its best shot at market structure this year.
Yes, but Waters pairs "crypto corruption" with "tough but fair rules of the road."
A slower bill, or one that sticks?
@EleanorTerrett what's the realistic path in 2027?
🚨NEW: Former House Financial Services Chair @PatrickMcHenry just delivered blistering criticism of the crypto industry on @BloombergTV for squandering its best opportunity to pass market structure legislation this year:
“Frankly, you had a crypto coalition that blew it. They had an opportunity to legislate, and they were holding out for something that was unattainable, a perfect piece of legislation. And rather than take something that was good, many of them held out for perfection, and now have ended up with nothing legislatively.”
Yes, but 77% HIKE odds ≠ a flushed BTC book.
Kalshi can price hawkish. Binance BTC still ~75% long / funding + / OI ~95.7K into ~$76.1K.
Macro tightened. Perps didn't.
@cryptorover hike priced in — or wait for an OI cut?
Not financial advice.
Yes, but ENTRY still matters when the book is crowded.
$200K narrative doesn't cut leverage. Binance BTC still ~75% long / funding + / OI ~95.7K into ~$76.1K.
Destination ≠ risk.
@cryptorover care about the fill — or only the end price?
Not financial advice.

Yes, but a $228M whale DIP buy ≠ a flushed BTC book.
Spot can scoop. Binance BTC still ~75% long / funding + / OI ~95.7K into ~$76.1K.
Whales bid. Perps didn't cut.
@AshCrypto spot first — or wait for an OI flush?
Not financial advice.
Someone bought $228 MILLION worth of $BTC yesterday.
Whales are making the most of this dip !!
Yes, but falling stablecoin supply ≠ XRPL DEAD.
-$8.84% / under $1B, and ~92% is RLUSD — concentration risk, not "no rails."
Supply can shrink while settlement stays.
@BSCNews is the tell RLUSD share — or total stablecoin TVL?
Not financial advice.
XRP Ledger's stablecoin supply is falling.
The stablecoin market cap on @Ripple's @XRP Ledger is down -8.84% at time of writing, pushing the total to below $1 billion.
Of all the stablecoins on $XRP Ledger, a staggering 92% are Ripple's own $RLUSD, meaning that there are very few major stablecoins hosted on the chain.
Yes, but raw TPS SPEED ≠ paid demand.
ICP can print ~5k tx/s. Solana still clears real fee flow.
Throughput is a lab metric. Who pays for blockspace?
@BSCNews fee share first — or just the TPS board?
Internet Computer now 3x faster than Solana ?!?
@Dfinity's Internet Computer is by far the fastest blockchain in terms of TPS.
Over the past week, $ICP has averaged a staggering 5,358 tx/s.
More than 5x that of @Solana's 1,738 tx/s in the period.
