This fake attempt to rewrite recent history is so funny. Jonathan nominated Hon Mulikat Akande-Adeola to be Speaker of the House of Reps. It was Bola Tinubu who ensured it didn't happen because he wanted to undermine GEJ.
2011 was actually the origin of APC.
The SW voted for Jonathan (he won 5/6 states).
And what they did they get in return? Nothing.
No VP, no senate president or deputy senate president, no speaker or deputy speaker, no important minister (the most senior Yoruba minister wasā¦ the minister of agriculture). They didnāt even get SGF, and the defence minister was a junior minister under Hailiru Mohammed.
The only substantive appointment was as chief of Defence staff, which was (or should be) a non-political appointment.
Of the 12 top positions in the country, Yorubas held none.
Worse still, there was absolutely zero hope that the trend wouldnāt continue in a Jonathan second term, or even in a world after Jonathan.
