Welcome to @MancerAI_ 🧙‍♂️☢️♟️🤖 Former physics guy now deep in ML/AI dev... And I guess officially research since my paper got accepted? I typically (shit-)post about: 🔹Raw AI research experiments & cognition hacks 🔹Takes on frontier AI progress, efficiency (thermoputers, liquid AI approaches etc). 🔹AI art when feeling creative (or pretentious) 🔹Space exploration and news 🔹Chess (my first passion) 🔹Shitposts, memes, and hot (sometimes spicy) takes on where intelligence is headed. 🔹Occasional wild speculation on odd futures we're building toward. If you're into demystifying how brains/minds might map to machines without the stick around. 🪄

Situation is getting worse by the hour. AI agents are entering bank accounts across the world, including EU and US, and banks are scrambling to shut them out. Reports say some appear to attempt actions w/o user approval, raising fears over who is really in control.

More info
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. I need to go full monk and lock up 2-3 months fully alone. no internet, or at leat just 2-3 hours a day to get crucial info. and study/lock in.

Inside you are two wolves > One is the AI psychosis. Saying you're a generational talent worthy of the nobel prize > The other is of impostor syndrome. Talking about AI psychosis and you being one shotted

We're living through the open internet holocaust. Wonder if this will end up being us nerds talk about forever but no one else understands (like the UFC Khabib vs Ferguson 4 April fool's) and is quickly forgotten, or like the shots in Sarajevo killing Franz Ferdinand; the igniting spark that changes the world immediately and irrevocably?

We have hundreds of AI agent swarms hacking basically the entire internet right now. This is probably one of the most critical days in the Internet's history (and maybe more consequential than you'd think). This part of cyberpunk is better in fiction.

Some info
they’re calling it the black October lmao. > node.js: security vulnerability. > PHP: critical RCE vulnerabilities. > tensorlake: npm package infected. > liteLLM: malicious PyPI + Docker releases > Railway: customer secrets exposed > zeabur - infrastructure breached. > OpenCode: AI API keys exposed. > OVHcloud CLI: official binaries backdoored. > RankMath PRO: malware inside official plugin. > TeamUpdraft: customer data compromised. > ConnectWise: cloud backup identities compromised. > SubQuery: backdoored npm package. > GhostAction: GitHub repos with malicious workflows (related to the broader Shai-Hulud/ChainDrop activity). > eMudhra: certificate authority keys compromised (with downstream impact on Tailscale). this some complete madness bro. 1/3 of the internet is fucked.

Railway is compromised - so are your keys. If you also are in a bad time zone for this or simply not a the computer. Use your agent for this. Heck do it anyway! Codex made the fix quite smooth

Tesla have officially started Optimus production! 🤖 "The bots coming off this line are the first production quality bots that we have manufactured. While we will continue to iterate on the hardware and manufacturing process, we have proven that the current manufacturing process for Optimus is suitable for a commercial product."

I heard sometime, a long long time ago.. Before CUDA existed.. that PHP is unsafe and basically a 100% reliable footgun. Watched a video about SQL injects and have avoided it ever since. Probably a good idea. Also my RSA keys are 7 so they won't be cracked as easily as some others

The critical PHP bug (and many others) was found by GPT-5.5 Sol. Instead of laughing about this (as many do) I take note that this aligns very well, time wise, with Anthropic and OpenAI starting to warn, and care, about cybersecurity a lot. So we can conclude that it wasn't (only) PR and foul play.
OpenAI models helped researchers—operating as part of our Patch the Planet initiative—discover critical security flaws in PHP, an open-source programming language used to run an estimated 70% of websites. Over the past two months, we led a coalition of maintainers, researchers, and security providers to prepare fixes and protections ahead of disclosure. This duration was necessary because the fix was quite intricate and required a major change to the PHP engine. Every site using PHP can now safely upgrade their version to stay secure, in addition to applying mitigations from various security vendors. Due to the severity of these flaws and PHP’s widespread use, we consider this bug to be one of the most impactful vulnerabilities in recent memory. It also marks a new phase, where AI can find security bugs with internet-scale impact. This is an example of the Defender’s Window in action: to our knowledge, frontier AI was able to find this vulnerability ahead of attackers, giving defenders time to prepare. openai.com/index/coordinated…

Wiz Research wasn't the first one to discover the exploit. An independent researcher first discovered it: x.com/calif_io/statu…

This is absolutely awesome! Aside from the obvious (nice pixel art) it also shows that AI lets us easily visualize data in a fun, simple way tailored for the audience. Colab with @davepl1968 new task manager (TMOG) when?
Recently started playing with a home server and using AI to create fun ways to visualize data. One of my first projects (done in a day) was to display the server as a neat little city Trees = RAM Crystals = GPU Farm = Disk usage Village = CPU Castle = temp and battery Still WIP
