I broke down the exact 4-step process I use on every chart: higher time frame context, wait for the discount, find the imbalance, and let price run to liquidity. The full Mando Model, start to finish. 📖
While one time frame may be bullish that doesn’t mean a higher time frame isn’t bearish.
Price is fractal and if you neglect to look at price from multiple time frames you are putting yourself in harms way
The most recent bounce is a perfect example of this… $SPY
This might be a terrible idea... but I guess we'll find out?

Couldn't agree more.
Mapping the entire trade (entry, target and stop loss) before entry will allow you to stick with your thesis until YOU invalidate it.

IT IS NOT A PATTERN!
If a model worked every single time, price would only go in one direction.
The time I get cautious with mine: right after price takes out higher-timeframe liquidity (daily/weekly highs, not a 5-minute high).

Moving through the premium resistance level like butter and getting closer to our bigger “showtime” level, which overlaps the newly formed $QQQ resistance from last week 🍿 $SPY
markets finally gave us a day off from the chop and gave us a taste of a bit of green lol
- trump iran headlines leaning towards an end to the war (if you believe them)
- consumer confidence huge beat this morning
- midterms will be a clearing event and allow us to move past it
- big tech earnings this week will be good even if the capital raises via debt/equity are keeping their stocks down, ultimately people just have to be okay with $meta diluting now to grow in the future
- anthropic numbers not as bad as expected
- neocloud sentiment the worst it’s been, if there is any positive news then these companies get a bounce
- $sofi smashed earnings and the guide even with rate hikes expected, good for financials if a company at their size and grow that fast within a bad macro for rates
- high beta names like $tsla back above $400, not fully indicative of risk on but you don’t see that during risk off periods
- companies with great earnings that got sold off initially starting to retrace upwards like $amkr and $be
what do we think…fake rally or enough capitulation to mark some form of a short term bottom?
Someone during live had said the relaxed approach while reading price was helpful to see…
My response:
Planning wins and losses in advance allows you to operate to the best of your ability under pressure.
Getting scared mid-trade usually means you never decided what the loss could be.
Know your risk before the entry, and price moving stops spooking you.
What's your rule for setting risk before you click buy? $SPY
Shorting the first red candle is how you get stopped out 2 candles later.
You think it's the top, you jump in, no confirmation. What I wait for instead: an imbalance candle down. That's the confirmation that a range is set. Then I look for the retracement.
The same thing applies after a sharp downside move and trying to long the first green candle.
Do you wait for confirmation or try to catch the exact top/bottom?
