Today I visited an anthropology museum for the first time. I took some time to sit in silence with some of the artefacts. My reverie was disturbed by a group of white people laughing and mocking my culture that had been boxed and displayed for their consumption. I was horrified.

Today I talked to a cousin I didn’t know existed until 1 month ago. Until recently, he didn’t know he had family & thought he was alone. I still have family who haven’t met each other. Tonight I’m thinking of everyone finding their way back to family. Reconnecting takes years.
