Yesterday, I laid my brother to rest.
On the outside he was handsome, charming, empathetic, compassionate, hilarious, and left an indelible mark on the lives of so many… but he also battled demons.
Though he was never alone, inside Matt felt alone.
…and now he’s gone.
Make sure your friends and family know they are not alone.
Please, in honor of my brother, call someone you love today and tell them.
And always hug your homies. ❤️
Some of you are more aware than others that I have been quiet due to some family struggles that I needed to focus on.
Unfortunately, I am very sad to say that my younger brother and best friend passed away yesterday morning.
I am crushed.
I am very open about my history of struggles and unfortunately my brother had his own.
Addressing serious mental health problems is a daily battle and my brother sadly lost. Life was just too hard.
My brother was the toughest and most loving person I ever knew… truly one of a kind and I will miss him forever… but now he’s back with our Dad.
The two most important men in my life were taken from me too soon.. 💔
Tell your friends and family you love them. And call that person you’ve been thinking about. 🙏🏻

11 years ago today I was curled up in a ball withdrawing from opioid painkillers begging for it to end. I hated my life.
Tonight I’m 10 years and 364 days in recovery. I haven’t had a drink or a drug in 4,014 days.
Tonight I’m at a Zach Bryan concert with my two best friends I met in treatment. The same men that were in my wedding.
Tomorrow I will have 11 years in recovery.
Life is good. Recovery is real.

Great to see the thesis come to fruition and it’s still only starting…
One point I was somewhat wrong on - I said I wouldn’t download Meta AI vs Gemini/ChatGPT to start over… I downloaded Muse on day one because they DID differentiate themselves enough.
(Technically Meta AI app was separate from Muse so half right 😂)
