The scene @ the end where Nathan and Elizabeth are swimming together feels like the end of Inception where the top spins and wobbles. Earth-shaking/makes me wonder about the whole movie.
One of the best parts of You Can See Everything is when Nathan says he’s trying to be as honest as he can and wouldn’t omit anything to protect Elizabeth and then immediately shows footage that reveals he misled the audience via omission earlier in the film.

McAfee said this video of college students doing impressions of him, and making fun of him for taking his shirt off, made him fear for his life because this was the same campus where Charlie Kirk was murdered. Fame makes people lose their minds xitter.cf/FOS/status/21149107504…

Don’t trust any polls but if Abdul can win by double digits that would be healing

The Dem establishment have undermined Abdul from the jump - we need a Dem Tea Party
The establishment in both the Democratic and Republican Party are PANICKING and pulling out ALL the stops to defeat Abdul El-Sayed

If we live in a country where @elonmusk can drop $400 million into campaigns at a moment’s notice, should we keep running the same kind of campaigns? Let’s assume for a moment that neither current campaign finance rules nor Musk are going anywhere (a safe assumption.)

NAACP president about the rhetoric being used to target Abdul El-Sayed: "The blatantly racist attacks surrounding the Michigan Senate race are unacceptable and disgusting. It’s the same ugly, divisive tactics we’ve seen used during the darkest chapters of the South’s history"

Nobody: Todd Beamer’s Dad: “What was wrong with the Dred Scott Decision?” Election Day can’t come soon enough
Beamer on El-Sayed: He has a birth certificate but he's not an American. He had the choice to be an American or not. He has chosen otherwise. He has blood that's red. However, he has chosen to remove any strain of the white and blue part in his blood. We cannot allow this man to invade and, occupy our country. (He is an American)

If we had a legacy media that gave a damn about racism, or even just basic consistency, this would be a huge story and Trump would be asked endlessly about his racism and smears and every Republican candidate would be asked to condemn and disavow. Zeteo.com/subscribe

Many of my peers who claim to be liberal don’t want the Dems to take the Senate — they want centrist gridlock which protects the status quo

Democratic Party consultants would advise Lula to stop being so edgy & abrasive
This is the moment that won Lula the runoff: Bolsonaro: "Why did 60% of the prisoners vote for you???" Lula: "I want 100%, including your father!!!"

This will leave a lasting impression on Hochul and she’s going to tell her allies about it. This, combined with Obama rallying with Abdul and celebrating his call to move beyond the ACA toward Medicare for All, marks a real turning point for the party.

.@SenBrianSchatz says that if Democrats take the Senate, the party's left wing needs to be strategic about not proposing things "that the president of the United States is guaranteed to veto." "If we want to be more aspirational, if we want to make more bold policy changes... that's for 2028."

This week’s newsletter: I wrote about the GOPs strategy of Islamophobia has been aided by Democrats and the press. And I find the lack of pushback not only immoral but shortsighted. We either all have a place in democracy or we don’t. Netflix insisting on no theatrical release creates an insanely adverse filter bias re projects. Any director who is awesome and has a great idea wants to open in theaters with a real run and with lots of traditional theatrical promotion marketing $$.
A24 vs. Netflix shows the taste trap tech companies fall into: they want the results of good taste without investing in it. Being a tastemaker means taking risks before the data comes in. Waiting for data means you're not setting trends, you're following them.
