Thought this table (25/26) was pretty interesting, especially Brentford’s underperformance. Apparently they had a very high number of set play Big Chances, so the underperformance vs xG isn’t the result of a high volume of low xG chances. It’s either consistent goalkeeping heroics (less likely) or poor finishing. You can’t ignore the volume and quality of chances though so, if they can correct the finishing, they could be very dangerous from set plays this season.
