3.68 xG and 40 box touches for Barça after 45 minutes. Hard to explain how crazy that is. Obscene numbers.

That limited game time of Carlos Espí has to stop soon. Second game winning goal this season. Truly unique profile.
1.94m tall Carlos Espí is a fun punt from Real Madrid. 11 goals last season in limited minutes (~15.0 90s) and a truly unique profile. One of 7 CF's in Europe's T5 leagues in the 30th+ percentile in terms of aerial ability + goal threat. Good for a 20 year-old in a weak team.

Hasn’t disappointed so far, Sangaré. What a player.
I understand why Brentford spend a club-record fee (€45m) for Mamadou Sangaré. Third highest rated CM (in the very general-metrics rank) and someone who both break up attacks and takes it forward. Only 23 on top of that. Could go down as one of the signings of the season.

Very impressive start to the season from Victor Muñoz. Got all the tools an Iraola, and Premier League, winger needs. Intensity, pace, power, directness and much more. Might prove to be a bargain at his price
Lot to like about Victor Muñoz to Liverpool. Fits Iraola’s system. Big goal threat, great dribbler. One of the better wingers in La Liga last season according to most key metrics.

Small sample, but Newcastle's signing of Aladji Bamba looks interesting. 20-years-of-age and already putting up borderline elite level numbers in comparison to other T5-league CMs in ball-progression and ball-winning. Also an astute dribbler in central areas.

Got his top-5 league move, Oulaï. Fiorentina it is.
Lot of talk about Christ Inao Oulaï after his start to the World Cup, but that he's performing should not come as a surprise. Progresses the ball better than most and can also make a difference in the final third. He'll have plenty of suitors this summer.

Seen too little talk about João Gomes to Aston Villa. Been able to perform despite playing for a bad Wolves side. Ball-winning and ball-carrying is top, top level.

The World Cup and the Euros before 20 for Lamine Yamal, while simultaneously being one of the best players in the world. Do we have anything remotely close to that?

Remember the times when Jordan Pickford was considered a weak link. Nowadays he’s a top, top GK. Got the shot stopping and ball playing.

Andrey Santos is a good player, would be rated higher if he played regularly. Above average in the three main pillars for a CM of his profile: ball progression, ball retention and ball winning. Not bad at all, and especially not for a U23 player.
🚨 Manchester United exploring deal to sign Andrey Santos from Chelsea. No club talks yet - enquiries by multiple suitors to 22yo’s agents. #MUFC keen but will depend on price. #CFC would not block move if suits all parties @TheAthleticFC after @Will_Unwin nytimes.com/athletic/7423090…

Haissem Hassan was the man of yesterday's World Cup action. And him being a dribbly guy is nothing new, he's literally elite in that sense.

Nicolas Raskin has been a pleasant breakthrough at the World Cup. And his impressive performances for Belgium is simply a continuation of his season with Rangers. The 25-year-old can almost do it all. Ready for a move to a top league.

Very intrigued about Gilberto Mora and his career path. Technically and smartness wise he’s one of the more impressive players his age I’ve seen. On the other hand, it’s rare to see profiles with his physique on the top, top level anymore.

Bazoumana Touré is a ridiculously good ball-carrier/dribbler and a good creator. Also top when it comes to off-ball stuff (runs in-behind, top speed, work rate etc.). Good signing and should fit Newcastle's game model.
We are delighted to announce the signing of highly rated Ivorian winger Bazoumana Touré on a long-term contract 💪

Bit under the radar compared to the big names in Colombia, but Gustavo Puerta has had a great tournament. Very much like his season in Racing Santander. Has it all. Progress the ball, keeps it when needed and wins it back. People will hear more about him next season in La Liga.

Like the Jacobo Ramón to Chelsea links. Few CBs in Serie A scored higher statistically during 2025/2026 than him. Got the size, aerial ability and ball playing ability. Interesting under-the-radar player.

The fee ain’t small, but Elliot Anderson is also a very, very good football player. To put these numbers up in Nottingham Forest is nothing short of impressive. Elite passer, wins it back, can carry it and so on. He’ll come good,
