Finally posting this! 🥳 Super happy to share that I completed my Ph.D. (Summa Cum Laudae) in Psychology at @UnivBabesBolyai, Cluj-Napoca, Doctoral School in Applied Cognitive Psychology. My thesis, entitled "Personality, Mental Health, and Performance Anxiety in Outdoor Sports:

1/ People often ask what readings I recommend for clinicians & trainees who want to learn about psychodynamic therapy. Here's a partial list
For a bird's eye, jargon-free introduction to psychodynamic thought, read chapters 1 and 2 of "That Was Then, This is Now" by yours truly.

Thank you so much, @RiddleLab_UBB !
I had an unimaginable gift on the 3rd of April: the publication of the 4th article for my PhD, right before my defence. Who would have imagined!? Our article, titled "Climbing Anxiety Scale (CAS-20): Preliminary development and validation",
3/(1) developing and providing a preliminary validation for a novel, theoretically anchored sport climbing inventory, Climbing Anxiety Scale (CAS-20), among an international sample of rock-climbers (N = 153); and (2) providing preliminary evidence on its factorial
4/and criterion-related validity. CAS-20 helps practitioners track anxiety reduction interventions for climbers at risk.
Thank you, deeply, Andrei Ion, Laura @PetraVisu and @DragosIliescu1 for all your support.
1/On the 1st of March, spring brought a delightful gift, and I am pleased to share the 3rd publication of my PhD, titled “Simulating nature?! The impact of indoor exercising on cognitive and affective functioning: A randomized crossover trial”, published in the journal
4/The study assessed the cognitive and affective effects of indoor exercising while exposing the participants to a video simulation of nature (simulated nature) compared to typical indoor exercising (control condition).
The findings indicate that exercising in simulated natural
5/environment conditions has little significant cognitive and/or affective benefits after controlling for physical effort.
