I really enjoyed this conversation with @DavidMWalker7, former U.S. Comptroller General. We got into America’s $38+ trillion national debt, Social Security, Medicare, taxes—and what all of this could mean for your financial future. David spent years looking at the numbers for the U.S. government, and his perspective is worth hearing. Watch the full conversation below 👇

I BELIEVE every parent in America should seriously consider removing their children from public schools! Why? Because our children deserve a WORLD-CLASS education that teaches them HOW to think, not WHAT to think! Parents have options: ✅ Charter schools ✅ Homeschooling for as little as $50/month with @ClassicLearner, offering access to teachers and an incredible education! ✅ In some states, education funding can even follow your child! And here’s what excites me most! @p2wealth teaches financial education and wealth-building strategies that most colleges and universities NEVER teach! Imagine raising a generation of children who understand critical thinking, entrepreneurship, investing, and financial freedom! We can change the future of America by changing how we educate our children! Want to learn more? ThePerfectPortfolio.com

Why don’t schools teach children how MONEY actually works? We spend 12+ years in school learning how to become EMPLOYEES, but almost NOTHING about investing, inflation, taxes, or building wealth! Meanwhile, El Salvador is teaching financial literacy to children as young as SEVEN! This is why I’m so excited about what @BrettPike is building at Classical Learner. We’ve partnered with Classical Learner through @ThePerfectPortfolio to teach children how wealthy families invest, build assets, and become financially independent. Imagine if every child started investing at age 10 instead of waiting until they’re 30 or 40! Financial freedom starts with financial EDUCATION! Is our education system failing our children, or doing exactly what it was designed to do? 🎥 Credit: @LinaSeiche

NFL star Clinton Portis earned over $43 MILLION playing football. Years later, he was BANKRUPT and eventually went to federal prison. How does someone make $43 MILLION and lose it all? He trusted financial advisers who, according to his lawsuits, cost him millions. This is exactly WHY I started The Perfect Portfolio. Making millions doesn’t make you financially educated. You can be an incredible athlete, successful entrepreneur, or highly paid professional and still know very little about building wealth. We teach families how to: ✅ Invest in appreciating assets ✅ Create passive income ✅ Legally reduce their taxes ✅ Use debt strategically ✅ Build generational wealth But most importantly, we teach people to UNDERSTAND their own money. Nobody should care more about your financial future than YOU! Financial literacy isn’t just about getting rich. It’s about STAYING rich. Why aren’t we teaching this to every child in America?
Clinton Portis earned $43.1 million in the NFL. In 2022 he went to federal prison over $99,264. In 2004 he signed an 8-year, $50.5 million contract with Washington. At the time it was the richest deal ever given to a running back. He trusted two advisers registered with the NFL Players Association. According to lawsuits he filed, one firm talked him into putting $1 million into an Alabama bingo casino that the state shut down in 2012, and more than $3.1 million left his account without his knowledge. The other steered players into a firm that turned out to be a Ponzi scheme. Nearly $14 million vanished. In December 2015 he filed for bankruptcy owing $4,857,659. The list included $500,000 to his own mother, $390,000 to the IRS, $287,178 to the MGM Grand and $412,000 in support to four women. His income: $3,500 a month in NFL disability and $1,000 a month from sideline reporting. Then came the fraud case. Retired players have a health account that reimburses medical costs up to $350,000 each. Prosecutors said a ring submitted $2.9 million in fake claims for equipment nobody received. Portis admitted claims filed in his name brought in $99,264. He paid back every dollar before sentencing. The judge gave him 6 months. His version, on The Pivot podcast in December 2022: they called it a $5 million scheme, he received $100,000, paid it back, and still went to jail. He says money left unused in that account does not go to his kids. "It goes to their bonuses." And the advisers who took his money "ain't did no time." The case for Portis: by his account, the men who handled the millions he lost did no time, while he did time over money from his own account that he returned in full. The case for the government: in his plea he admitted he knew the claims filed in his name were very likely false and chose to ignore it. Paying it back after you get caught does not erase the crime. Was 6 months for $99,264 fair, when, by his account, the advisers behind his losses did no time at all?

One of the most rewarding parts of building The Perfect Portfolio is watching ordinary families transform their financial futures! Michael and Melissa didn’t start with wealth. They started with high-interest credit card debt. Today, they’re learning how to make their money work FOR them instead of AGAINST them. Financial freedom isn’t just for the wealthy. It’s for anyone willing to learn, take action, and change their financial future! This is WHY we do what we do!
Something Michael and Melissa said that I think about often. They did not start with a strategy. They started with high-interest credit card debt, which no strategy fixes and most financial content politely ignores. You cannot plan around compounding while something else is compounding against you. One student's experience. Individual results vary. youtube.com/watch?v=lMTPZGqk…

Had an amazing lunch in Cabo with my wife Stella and Kohila Sivas, discussing how we can help kids learn English, get a better education, and build a brighter future! I LOVE helping ordinary Americans become financially free and helping entrepreneurs pay less in taxes so they can grow, innovate, and create jobs. But you know what feels EVEN BETTER? GIVING BACK! ❤️ Helping children have opportunities they might never have had is incredibly rewarding! The more successful we become, the more lives we can change. Financial freedom is amazing. But using that freedom to help others is PRICELESS! That’s what life is all about!

At The Perfect Portfolio, we teach a very different philosophy. Why borrow money to buy depreciating assets just to reduce your taxes? We teach families how to strategically use debt to acquire appreciating, income-producing assets while creating legitimate tax deductions. Our strategies are designed to accomplish THREE things: Reduce taxes Create new streams of income Build assets that appreciate and compound over time Buying a $95K Escalade may save you some taxes, but it’s still a depreciating asset. We would rather use that capital to acquire assets that produce income and build long-term wealth. The goal isn’t just to pay less in taxes. It’s to become WEALTHIER while paying LESS in taxes. That’s the philosophy behind The Perfect Portfolio. Want to learn how the wealthy build wealth while legally reducing taxes? theperfectportfolio.com
My neighbor spent 14 years auditing rich people for the IRS Asked him the craziest thing he ever saw in an audit He said "I audited a guy in Dallas who made $1.1M, bought 3 houses, drove a new Escalade, and the IRS had to mail HIM a $7,430 refund check for being low-income" I thought he was bullshitting me until he walked me through the guy's file The auditor went into that office expecting to nail him for tax fraud. Six weeks later he had to close the audit with zero changes and release the guy's $7,430 low-income check You know why? Because the US tax code has two rules that turn into a legal money glitch when you stack them together First rule is that borrowed money is never taxable income. You can borrow $500k tomorrow morning and the IRS cannot touch a penny of it Second rule is IRS Revenue Ruling 78-38. It says any business expense, equipment, or heavy vehicle you buy on a credit card is 100% tax-deductible the exact day you swipe the card, even if you don't pay the bank back for 18 months (go look that ruling up btw, it's wild) His business brought in $420k in net profit, plus he pulled $680k in tax-free cash-out refinances off three rental houses. That's $1.1M in cash hitting his bank account in one year A normal W-2 earner making $420k bends over and wires $130,000 to Washington Instead, this guy used his 740 credit score to open $250,000 in 0% APR business credit cards under his LLC's tax ID across Chase, Amex, US Bank, and Wells Fargo Before December 31st, he swiped all $250,000 of the bank's 0% money on a $95k Escalade (over 6,000 lbs so Section 179 writes off 100% of it on day one), rehab materials for his rentals, and prepaid vendor invoices Stacked with bonus depreciation on his rentals, those credit card swipes legally dropped his personal Adjusted Gross Income all the way down to $21,400. With three kids on his return, the IRS computer automatically mailed him the $7,430 Earned Income Tax Credit And because EIN business cards only report to commercial bureaus, none of that $250k balance ever showed up on his personal credit report. He paid the cards off a year later from rental cash flow before Chase charged him a dime of interest Problem is when most guys with a 700+ score try to apply for $250k in business credit on their own, they apply in the wrong order, rack up 5 hard pulls on Experian, and get capped at $10k (if you have a 700+ credit score and want my team to sequence and unlock your 150k-250k 0% funding stack under an EIN, book a call using the link in my bio)
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Rev. Rul. 78-38 only covers charitable contributions by credit card, not business expenses or vehicles. andrewmitchel.com/charts/rr_78_3… Credit card charges are deductible when incurred under standard cash method rules, not via any unique glitch, and the IRS auditor anecdote has no corroboration. irs.gov/publications/p… fitsmallbusiness.com/tax-deduction-…

David M. Walker (@DavidMWalker7), former Comptroller General of the United States, has been warning Americans about our national debt crisis for decades. I’m honored that David endorsed my book, Be Smart Pay Zero Taxes. Washington doesn’t have a revenue problem. It has a spending problem. If we don’t change course, future generations will inherit the consequences. Are we leaving our children financial freedom or a mountain of debt?

Jim Breuer makes a powerful point about our education system. Children are naturally curious, creative, and eager to learn. So why do we force them to spend their childhood sitting in classrooms, preparing to become employees instead of entrepreneurs and investors? We need an education system that teaches kids to THINK, CREATE, INVEST, and become financially independent. That’s why we’re bringing real financial education to homeschool families. Are public schools educating our children—or indoctrinating them to conform? Have they become Government-Run Indoctrination Camps (GRICs)? What do you think?

Imagine a generation of kids who understand investing, entrepreneurship, taxes, and financial freedom BEFORE they graduate high school. We could change the financial future of America in ONE generation. Parents, what’s ONE thing you wish schools had taught you about money?

I wish I had been homeschooled! I dropped out of high school, but went on to become a successful entrepreneur and write four books. Imagine what our children could accomplish if we taught them entrepreneurship, investing, and financial freedom at age 10 instead of waiting until they’re adults. Parents: What’s ONE thing you wish schools had taught you about money?

“The public school system is the Gateway drug to college indoctrination.” - Brett Pike
The public school system is the Gateway drug to college indoctrination. Children are taught truth comes from authority, as preparation for the authoritative lessons they will learn in college. This is why taking control of your child’s education from a young age is so important.

I had an incredible conversation with Keith Borie on The Wealth Flow! We got into some of my favorite topics: 💰 Why most people are taught to build wealth the wrong way 🏦 How the wealthy Buy, Borrow & Die 📉 How we legally reduce taxes 💳 Why debt—used correctly—can actually BUILD wealth 🚫 Why traditional retirement advice may be completely backwards Keith asked fantastic questions and we went DEEP on this one. If you want to understand how wealthy families think differently about money, taxes, debt and investing, give this episode a listen. Would love to hear what you think! 👇 podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… #theperfectportfolio #BuyBorrowDie #BeSmartPayZeroTaxes
