Yesterday, I was barred from entering the West Bank by Israeli officials, as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
What's happening here in Palestine is unjust. We've just witnessed what Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and many others have called a genocide unfold in Gaza.
We came here to show the world, and to show solidarity with the Palestinian people. The Israeli government didn't allow that.

🧵It’s Day 100 of the Burnham premiership. Burnham has made a good first impression personally and lifted the Labour brand, with Labour up 7pts since May. There are longer-term challenges ahead, but Labour has enjoyed a sustained rise in support since July. What's driving it?

Today Israeli authorities barred me and other European elected representatives from entering the West Bank to meet Palestinian students and civil society leaders, as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
We knew that by crossing into the occupied Palestinian territories, we risked being detained, interrogated and turned away by Israeli authorities. And that, alas, is exactly what happened.
For more than eight hours, we were held, interrogated and made to feel as though we had done something wrong simply by attempting to enter.
The simple truth is we had done nothing wrong. We went to show our support for the Palestinian people and highlight the terrible injustice and violence being perpetrated against them. We want to ensure that people back home do not look away from the reality of what is happening.
Ultimately, we went to show solidarity. But we left with an even greater determination to speak out. We will not be silenced, and we will not look away. None of us should.

Turned the volume up on SSN to hear one of the talking shop pundits saying how Kane wouldn’t have won the Ballon d’Or if he hadn’t had gone from Spurs to Bayern.
Maybe Sky should just say they think the Bundersliga is a better, more competitive, league before each PL live game.

Serbia's right-wing government was defeated last night by the Student List, a slate of candidates organized by student assemblies across the country.
The movement, born out of a student-led protest against corruption, now holds 141 of the Serbian National Assembly's 250 seats.
