Congratulations to every Conservative voter who rents - you just voted for increases in rent prices.
NEW - In a sit-down interview, premier designate Lorne Doerkson says he’s not ruling out an overhaul of the short term rental restrictions.
He also said he supports government employees returning to the office, but added he’s open to a “hybrid” remote work model. #bcpoli

Our caucus is united behind @JM_Whiteside as our interim leader in the legislature. I look forward to the work ahead as we rebuild and keep people at the centre of our work, especially as we hold the new government to account.

Good piece by Geoff Meggs: Laying the foundations for a post-Eby BC NDP: a tough hill climb, but we’ve been here before geoffmeggs.substack.com/p/la…
Um, I don’t think that happened this Fall. The Legislature was dissolved when Eby called the election.
Also, that sounds like it might have been introduced by Dallas Brodie or Tara Armstrong this past spring or even last year.

Low voter turnout is the death of democracy, the #Cons didn't even increase their vote, but by staying home voters thought they were punishing Eby when all they've done is hurt themselves. The masked supremacists were out at the Legislative precinct first thing today. #bcpoli

Grieve today. Hug your people. Then get ready for the next meeting, rally and picket line. Our Opposition caucus is full of fighters, and they need us at their backs. Let's get to work.

You can’t complain about not having your democratic say in British Columbia if you don’t vote.
Democracy might work more effectively if more citizens cared enough to express their say by voting.
The average voter turnout for the last three municipal elections in BC was: 32.5%
The average voter turnout in BC for the last three federal elections was: 65.5%
The average voter turnout for the last three BC provincial elections was: 53.5%
Can we set a goal for all three democratic expressions of voters to get to at least 75% of voters casting ballots?

True leadership.
I asked Premier Kinew if he has concerns about Premier-designate Doerksen's promise to repeal DRIPA in BC:
"The election results in BC should concern every elected politician and every consultant out there... what we're doing is not a game."

The Green candidate in Fleetwood filed a complaint with Elections BC because someone put up unauthorized signs on his behalf overnight.
He includes photo of the fraudulent off-brand signs alternating with conservative signs. What a coincidence that would be.
