The only way we can fix this is by @bryan_johnson succeeding
Japan is often discussed as if it has uniquely low fertility. Its fertility rate is very low, but several countries–including ones with reputations for being lively!–are now even lower.

A little witching hour preview. When wins become losses… in the first 15 minutes of NFL RedZone. Wow @ScottHanson

Cookie Banner for AI. Define “created by artificial intelligence“. Almost all content will be required to.
The EU will require labeling of content created by artificial intelligence On Sunday, August 2, 2026, new rules come into force in the European Union that oblige the labeling of content created with the help of artificial intelligence. Companies will have to indicate if text, images, audio, or video were generated by AI, including through special digital watermarks. The law applies globally: even if a company is based in the US or the UK, but its advertising or AI product is aimed at users in the EU, it is obliged to comply with the rules. Violators face severe fines — up to €15 million or up to 3% of the company’s global turnover. The rules apply only to professional and commercial use of the technologies. Ordinary citizens generating images for personal purposes are not covered by the law. There are exceptions for obviously artistic, satirical, and fictional content, provided it does not mislead the audience.

Somebody has to be the richest person on the planet. The fact that it’s the guy who popularized electric cars, made rockets reusable, and is working on curing blindness and paraplegia as a side quest seems fair to me.

May Europe one day wake up and start striving for this level of capitalistic homerun. Dump the degrowth nonsense, celebrate progress, and once again reach for the stars.
Elon Musk just created ~5,000 new millionaires, current and former $SPCX employees. Of those ~5,000 people, roughly 400 of them will see stakes worth $100+ million.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but… Europe would be a thousand times better off today with a smaller population and much cheaper living costs for young people and families than with 50 million Moslems who drain public services like leeches and have completely collapsed the housing market. It just blows my mind..
