A guy at my gym was bragging that he and his wife have a really “equal” marriage.
He said they each get Saturday morning to themselves. “I go play golf with the guys,” he said. “She gets her Saturday morning too.”
I asked, “What does she do?” He said, “She takes the kids to their activities.” “Soccer first, then swimming.”
I asked, “So what does she do while the kids are at swimming?” He said , “She brings her laptop and works from the coffee shop.” He said it like he'd just proved his point.

My best friend and my Fiancee tricked me into breaking up with her.
My fiancée and I had been together for four years and engaged for six months. We'd been through unemployment, family problems, and some difficult periods, but I genuinely believed we were building a future together.
One Friday evening, Marcus came over to my apartment. We'd been friends since college, so our conversations were usually unfiltered. We were having a few beers and talking about the wedding preparations when he asked how things were going.
I told him Elena and I had finally booked the venue and were sorting out the remaining expenses.
He laughed and said, "You really think you're ready to be married?"
I asked what he meant.
"Nothing. It's just funny how people can be together for years and still not know everything about each other."
I told him I wasn't worried about Elena. We'd been through too much together for me to doubt her.
Marcus smiled. "You really trust her that much?"
"More than I trust most people."
He took another sip of his beer. "I bet I could get her interested in me if I tried."
I laughed and told him to stop being ridiculous.
"she's my girlfriend and i really trust her, that's very impossible"
Eventually, he suggested a $28,000 bet. If he tried to get Elena and she rejected him, he'd pay me. If she agreed, he would win.

I knew it was a stupid challenge, but instead of arguing, I decided to play along.
I laughed, shook his hand, and told him he was going to lose his money.
I didn't think he would actually try it. But I decided to pay closer attention to how he behaved around Elena.

At 16, I went to a clinic because I hadn’t had my period in nearly two months.
I expected the nurse to tell me it was stress.
Instead, she looked at my test results and said something that made my stomach drop.
“There’s a strong possibility you’re pregnant. We need to do some further checks.
I immediately shook my head.
“That isn’t possible. I’ve never been with a boy.”
She asked me to think about whether anything unusual had happened recently.
And then I remembered a weekend I wished I could forget.
About a month earlier, a girl from my class had invited me to a small birthday gathering at her cousin’s house.
There were snacks, loud music, and people coming and going throughout the evening.
It got late, so a few of us stayed overnight.
I remembered falling asleep on a sofa in the living room.
The next thing I clearly remembered was waking up the following morning, feeling unusually tired.
At the time, I thought nothing of it.
Now, I couldn’t stop wondering whether I’d forgotten something important.
I called the friend who had taken me to the gathering.
“Please, I need you to be honest with me. Do you remember what happened after everyone went to sleep?”
She sounded confused.
“Why? What happened?”
I took a deep breath.
“The clinic thinks I might be pregnant.”
She went completely silent.

The fan spins harder when you plug in. That is often normal under load.
On battery the system limits power to save charge. When plugged in it allows higher performance, so the chip works harder and the fan responds. If it only screams while plugged in during heavy work, it is expected. Clean the vents if it happens on light tasks.
Does the fan get louder mainly when the charger is connected?
