It's crazy. I was never interested in politics because I heard, "Politicians are all crooked." "We should be pushing Christ's mission not promoting political agendas." I never realized how important it is to be a Christian who's politically active (seeks social justice).

Dee-Ann Kentish-Rodgers: The new Miss Universe Great Britain! 😍
She is the first black woman to hold the title and will go on to represent Great Britain internationally on the Miss Universe stage. Congratulations, @AsToldBy_Dee! 👏🏾

Stop calling your churches refuges or your God a refuge if you dehumanize refugees.
Stop singing songs about adoption & being a child of God if you can’t extend the same grace to immigrants & asylees.
The church’s hypocrisy is evident in the disconnect of our rhetoric & praxis.
Let me tell you! When you start to look at things through God's eyes, even the bad news becomes good news cuz you know it still fits into God's perfect plan!
Added to the bucket list: Go to #EssenceFest with a squad of black, beautiful, brainy, and born again sisters...and or host one of the events.

I get on a plane in two weeks and I pray to God I get to sit next to a #planebae. Can I pick? I pick @rubey_lcheek 😬🙏🏾⚽️ xitter.gq/roseybeeme/status/1014…
Why we gotta be so extra in the hood?! These fireworks right outside my window for the last hour got me feeling like I gotta duck and cover every 5 seconds.😒
