Update on this, we’ve decided the game will take inspiration from an old flash game called SorceryQuest I played a TON as a kid. It’s sadly not playable anymore, but a modern example would be closer to Darkest Dungeon. Both are comps for our game along with… PIKMIN?! 👀#indiedev
Starting tonight, I’m getting back on the #gamedev grind with another personal game jam!
My wife @rutrine will be doing the art, and I’ll be doing the programming. This one will be a small dungeon-crawler RPG.

Just letting y’all know that I’m pretty much exclusively posting as @learnsguitar recently, and for the foreseeable future. It’s music focused, but plenty of tech is involved! 😊

I will have songwriting streams where we get to work on some new tunes, concert streams where I perform purely original music, and unarchived cover streams too! Hopefully you’ll join me and enjoy the music!
She put a ton of work into the project so far, and I’m doing my best to do my part and get the music written. She has some experience with VTuber puppeteering, so I’m in good hands.
It’s important to say though: this is a channel for LEARNING! I’m still very new to music! 😅
As for the character, he’s mostly a stand-in for my real-life self, but I didn’t want to just stop there. He has his own lore and personality that I feel like I can make shine through with the music. All of the art so far has been done by my amazing wife @rutrine
If you didn’t see it earlier, I’ll be debuting my #Vtuber persona @learnsguitar soon. This is incredibly exciting for me, as I’ll finally have a good place to perform some of the music I’ve written. Right now there are 4 original tunes, and I’m working on more every day.

Me either, until literally this week. I had been learning a bunch of guitar chords without any musical background and finally decided I should PROOOBABLY learn. 😅 I ended up going with @samuraiguit's courses since I had watched him for so long, and I'm surprised how it clicked
Okay, yeah that's fair. I can definitely see how the comedy takes away from the stakes. To some degree, I guess it depends on if you categorize it in your head as a comedy or action film, though you're right to say it marketed itself heavily as the latter.
Reasonable minds may differ, but I’m surprised to hear that. I saw it shortly after finally watching a classic action-comedy for the first time, True Lies, and tbh I’d say Bullet Train was better.
Knowing EXTREMELY LITTLE about JS, my best guess is alphabetizing? Or at least the same algorithm you’d use for alphabetizing, since it wouldn’t really understand number “size” just which digits.
I’m shoveling a lot of coal into the “music production” engine of my life, and tbh, I think I just wrote the best song of the album, and I’m only ~3.5 songs in.
It’s easily my favorite thing I’ve written… and it’s a weird one lol.
If it never advances beyond stealing existing works of art and scrambling them into something “original” than I disagree.
In its current form, it’s not learning anything or creating anything truly new. It’s the content equivalent of a kitchen blender.
They’re just rebranded crypto-bros. Wasn’t there some celebrity account that was magically “revived” to sell NFTs or am I thinking of something else?
