I’m seeing a lot of talk about networking as creators today, so figured I would put in my two cents as someone who works with creators and not as one:
It’s not who you know, it’s who YOU are.
Really as simple as that…

Is networking as a creator important? Yes. Should it be the main thing you focus on entirely thinking it'll boost your numbers? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Making genuine and real connections is what you should do instead of being fake & befriending others as much as you can to clout chase
One day, I'll be at this con. Unfortunately, Dream Con took me so I gotta plan for 2028. 😞
When you get invites to special events at certain cons, but you won't be at the con so you have to deny them.

Sometimes you don’t realize how much you’re hurting until you actually SIT DOWN and ADMIT you’re hurting. Gone head and process them feelings.
This. Those numbers really don't mean anything if you cannot develop valuable relationships with them. Befriend people who you want to be around.

Just to add my two cents: networking can definitely be valuable as a creator, but you should NEVER rely on it entirely. Don’t befriend other creators just because you think they’ll boost your numbers.
Focus on building genuine connections and friendships instead! 😸
