It’s safe to drop Chris Rodriguez. He’s a rare combination of slow and soft. Amir Abdullah (yeah he’s still in the league) looks faster and runs harder.

And that was all the motivation he needed. Well done slowpoke.

Grading my “Poor 4” Stacks from last week: Cashed in 3 of my 5 lineups. Playing a core of 4 cheap players every week allows me to play some hammers. They weren’t all great, but they were good enough. Especially considering I played Denver D in 4 of the 5 stacks and got a fat 2 points…….

Stack 4: Grade B Kirko, Mason Taylor, Tre Tucker, Steelers. Steelers and Kirko did the heavy lifting here as the stack hit 52.08 which was right about the goal. Could have been a much better day if I went with Ladd instead of Tre Tucker who shot a blank for us on Sunday. Total score: 152.98 and cashed thanks to Bowers and Tutens big days.

Stack 5: Grade A- Cam Ward, WanDale, Helm, Broncos. Almost a perfect “Poor 4” stack if not for the stupid Broncos D. We got 61.56 from this group, which was about 20 points above the goal. Total Score: 162.36 and cashed thanks to Chase, Bucky and Tutens nice days. Back to work for this week. Check out my stuff @DrRoto

Ok people, repeat after me: “real life GMs don’t care about our fantasy teams”. Good teams aren’t going to trade depth just because you need help. 49ers aren’t trading Mac Jones and the Jags aren’t trading BTJ. Mac Jones is the 49ers insurance for Brock Purdy. They need him. BTJ is cheap, he knows the playbook and he’s a better depth receiver for the Jaguars than some version of Dyami Brown that they would end up elevating to take his spot.

Yankees offer Bednar a QO. I don’t hate it nearly as much as I did when they did it with Trent. It’s basically what Edwin Diaz makes per year and it’s just 1 year. Will Bauer’s take his from the Brewers? $23m is a nice chunk, but it’s just one year. Can he do it again? Padres offered one to Morejon, that’s a bit of a head scratcher. Feels like they could have signed him for half that AAV for a 3 year deal. #mlb #qualifyingoffers #mlbfreeagency
