Lloyds Tour of Britain Women 🇬🇧 Stage 1 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Lorena Wiebes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Gillespie, ZBackstedt ⭐️⭐️⭐️Wollaston, LKopecky, Bredewold ⭐️⭐️Le Court, Moors, Consonni, KSwinkels ⭐️Veenhoven, Dickson, Gasparrini, Nelson, Lippert Stage 1 of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women could be a fairly tricky one. There are several difficulties along the route plenty of ups and downs, and even some cobbled sections. It could be a relatively dangerous stage, and we could see some gaps open up in the peloton. The parcours may also make life difficult for some of the more pure sprinters, such as Chiara Consonni and Nienke Veenhoven, who could struggle to make it to the finish with the front group and therefore miss out on the sprint. Even so, my clear favourite for the stage is Lorena Wiebes. This parcours suits her extremely well, and she has everything she needs to win, potentially even quite comfortably. The riders who could be closest to her in a sprint are Laura Gillespie, Zoe Bäckstedt and, of course, Ally Wollaston. However, if attacks start flying in the final part of the stage, we could see Lotte Kopecky responding and potentially going clear with a breakaway group. The same applies to Mischa Bredewold, who could also be dangerous if the race becomes aggressive. Still, it is difficult for me to see the victory escaping Lorena Wiebes. She remains the clear favourite for Stage 1. #LloydsTourofBritain
