If my years watching (and rewatching) Glee! taught me anything it is that I can't resist a good mashup! 🎶
So when @jennalaib shared her latest Slow Reveal Graph, I had to combine two of my favorite math activity structures. #mtbos kgmathminds.com/2025/11/23/s…

The posters were so great and led to some great convos as well! It would be so interesting to hear discussions about their pre-unit ides as they add to them at the end of the unit.
#NCSM24 bound! Excited to learn with & from @SeafordBluejays @mrscphillips72, Katie, Billy and all of the other amazing educators at the conference. Join us on Wednesday morning bright and early to chat Learning Labs and next steps to make them a reality in your school/district!

Fun warm-up today.....'A rectangle has a perimeter of 20 cm. What are the possible side lengths?' Students really leaned into combinations of 10! #mtbos

I am always here for upcycling manipulatives! I was playing around with cutting and rearranging to show doubling and halving! Not as exciting with 5x10, but other dimensions could be fun as they cut and rearranged the parts!
I spent way too long estimating these fractions on a number line and students absolutely loved it! So much fun! Check it out if you are a 3-5 teacher! teacher.desmos.com/activityb… #mtbos
Love seeing all the great 3rd grade multiplication and division thinking on @Wipebook - such a handy display tool!! @mrscphillips72

From the little dots in the rectangle it looks like counting by ones? @mpershan this reminds me of the problem string we made based on your students' multiplication work.
I love having too much amazing student work to write about! So, while I was waiting for the new Fortnite season update to finish, I checked one of them off!:) kgmathminds.com/2023/12/03/s… #mtbos

And the world of division followed into 5th grade w/division of whole numbers and unit fractions. A couple students finished quickly so I asked what they think is always true about this division

Love this so much! I was in 4th grade this morning and also had some playfulness that I loved! Ss were completing 16/3=___x___ and asked if they could write division equations also ...um, of course!
When you try out a new 4th grade fraction lesson in desmos, ask students for feedback at the end, and you find this picture in the dashboard. 😍 They are just the best. cc: @mrscphillips72
Polygraph teacher vs class fraction fun in 4th grade using greater than, less than, and equal to clues. Check out other polygraphs for k-5 here: teacher.desmos.com/collectio…
