THIS. I feel like jr high & high school teachers get treated as REAL teachers &adults and the lower level are taken advantage of and overworked!!!

Right now I have 4 classes of 5/6the graders, I’d have 8 there. I feel like jr high & high school has to be even less work than 5/6. K-4 is so much work!! But my 5/6the graders are becoming less & less independent & I’m thinking the even bigger kids would be somewhat independent

😭 see I have a p-4 license and then a 4-8 endorsement added 😭 I’ll have to have geometry added too 😬 here we can also teach up one from what we are licensed. I really enjoy 5/6 but I kinda think I’d like jr high even more 🙈

I would be taking over the 8th grade math classes & the 9/10 geometry. Versus the 5th grade and 6th grade math classes I’m over now

See. This is me. I have expectations set, I’m very consistent and routine ridden but I feel my sarcasm and such suits the 7-12 window more than k-6 😭

Can you elaborate any as to what made one better than the other in your experience 😭 I like 5/6, but I kinda get tired of being the “strict” teacher with high expectations & one of the few who assign independent work to actually apply your knowledge 😭 if you know what I mean.

Was asked if would consider moving up to jr high/high school geometry next year 😬 not sure how I feel… any thoughts from junior high/high school teachers who have been elementary or mid-level?

I wish there were a list of the names of the people who returned all of the things she has donated 💔 people are taking advantage of good people and then things like this happen! I hate this so much for her 😔
