Definition check: a dictator holds unlimited power. Hmm yet in 1956 the CPC took Mao Zedong Thought off the constitution; in 1959 he ceded the presidency; in 1962 he self-criticised before 7,000 cadres; in 1965 Beijing papers spent weeks refusing an article he'd backed. Unlimited? The reason he’s so rightly idolised is because without him China would never be what it is today. You wouldn’t get any of these fancy tech, AI, skyscrapers, cars etc without Mao who started it all!
