Had a year 10 student ask about robots today. They're learning python programming for GCSE Computer Science. Humm… where could this be leading?
It could only be better if her name was Pandora.
Everyone preparing themselves for the Kate Bush festival on BBC 2 this evening? I hope so!
But what does the panel think is the appropriate drink to accompany such a feast?
Also, welcome to our younger viewers who have only recently discovered Kate due to Stranger Things.
What a wonderful @emfcamp! Thanks to everyone who made it possible, you're all amazing! Special shout out to all the volunteers, especially those who placed the many 10s of 1000s of @emfspiders around the site.
OK, it's a rainy Sunday and I was bored. Don't judge me @Raspberry_Pi fans…
Slightly confused by the @pimoroni 1.3" round display. It states it's 240×240 but *surely* it should be specified as having a radius of 120 pixels. Can anyone help?
Matt doing his usual wonderful stuff. Loving the big pile of laptops!
This is Matt @Pixelh8 from @CCCSuffolk on his week off sorting, refurbishing and distributing hundreds of laptops to young people who need them through organisations, schools and community groups in Suffolk. It's not just about the teaching.
It wouldn't be Christmas without a @ryanteck snowpi. Praying Mantis for scale.
After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.
I've been playing with NodeMCUs (ESP8266s) using µPython. Good times *but* the pin numbering is GPIO not what's written on the PCB (shades of Pi). Turns out if you use the board numbering they all seem to map to halt-and-catch-fire. Imagine that!
Software engineering note: one does not remediate other's use of perl, one insists they *abjure* it!
Gadzooks! Working with a 256M Raspi 1, version 1 I find that, contrary to @Gadgetoid's pinout.xyz, BCM27 *isn't* on pin 13. In fact it isn't *anywhere*! Confusion reigns as I can't get an energenie working (that's @ben_nuttall's fault) .
An excellent thread, well worth following all the way through.

With all this cleaning up of the house I'm considering opening a power adapter museum. What does the panel think?
Is it just me? But this somehow reminds me of year 7 (who are awesome by the way).

Special shout out to @jedifodder for giving his first talk at a CamJam: not an easy task at the best of times but it was great.
Now we're all looking forward to his “How I beat my Dad at @PiWarsRobotics ” at the next one!
Of course I missed mentioning @hackerfemo and his talk. Amazing work on diversity and inclusion with @ycm_uk!
