Finally found the limit they'll put on asylum claims. Totally unsurprising that it's "being conservative."
Losing an election is not grounds for asylum. Yet the Trump Administration is giving Flávio Bolsonaro safe haven in the United States. In Brazil, he is under investigation for alleged corruption, money laundering and currency evasion, and was ordered to surrender his passports. The Trump Administration owes Congress answers on its role helping Bolsonaro flee Brazil in contravention of Brazilian law. apnews.com/article/brazil-fl…

American glass. American metal. American silicon. American batteries. American workers. American everything. BlueChip is the first American computer in decades. Don't let anyone lie to you and say it can't be done. Designed in California. Built in America.
BlueChip. Built in America. America made the first electronic computer to win a war. Now we depend on our greatest adversaries to build the computers that run our economy and defend our nation. Today, we bring it home.

As usual, the answer is "The Old Dominion". What is the question?
"Why does nobody run for the school board?" "Why are the Rotary clubs empty?" "Why does every town meeting feel like it's run by the same motley assortment of terrible people?" Because the men who ought be doing so--the successful local men of prominence, typically businessmen and lawyers--came to the conclusion in the mid-20th century that participation in and leadership of civic life was someone else's job. This is the desire of the so-called conservative to simply "work" rather than do all the other things that keep entropy at bay and ensure things function. Their doing so left open the field to the worst among us: spiteful malcontents It wasn't always like this. The planters of the Virginia gentry served as vestryman, justice, militia officer and burgess, usually before he turned thirty and usually for no pay, other than perhaps having some travel expenses covered as a burgess. It was expected of him, and he expected it of himself: as a man whose success made him privileged, he was duty-bound to be the one to show up and lead That habit can come back. It ought come back. It starts with showing up to the boring meeting, and being the sort of man to whom others listen. The sort of man whose reputation for success and competence, and cultivated but not overdone and always aesthetically pleasing look makes others want to follow him This is what the great men we look back to did, and is indeed what their whole soceity was geared toward producing: great men who were great leaders at every level of civic life, from the humblest station at the bottom to the greatest at the top Re-engaging in that way will be critical if we are to retake our country. My favorite reply to this is the extremely dumb: @SpaceX uses gov't money! Well yeah, who else is going to be the primary customer of a space rocket company? Maybe the country that....used to have its own space program?
He built his own space program you Communist ding dong.

Oh, I don't know, maybe he did it because you're running on a platform of "let's take all of Elon Musk's stuff and throw him in the gulag"?
Elon Musk is dumping half a billion dollars into Republican races. Why? Because Democrats in Congress won’t be a rubber stamp for Donald Trump and will actually fight to lower costs.

The clearest dialectic in American politics is that the left hates America while conservatives love America. The left wants to replace America: her people, institutions, and values. The right wants to restore, preserve, and celebrate what has made America exceptional.
New Gallup poll asks "which values the country most needs today?" Out of a list of 12 values, Republicans put "patriotism" #1, for Dems it ranks dead last - by a lot. Dems say "equality" is most needed, Republicans rank it 11th out of 12.

Maybe the whole "Evil regimes had some good ideas" schtick is broken and you should stop doing it. 🤷‍♂️
It’s disappointing to have to say this, but @CBSNews, this is a serious failure of editorial reporting. I clearly state in this clip that while I have not personally been to Cuba, I have spoken with Cubans who have described it as a dictatorship, and I believe them. To claim I declined to answer the question is categorically false. That is not journalism. It is misinformation.

Umm, who are these married GOP women hooking up with because it doesn't seem to be their husbands....
Replying to @BradWilcoxIFS
Why don’t the husband and wife trends in the "sex recession" line up perfectly by ideology? Because some liberals and conservatives are married to someone across the aisle--and others are married to moderates. So here’s the full picture, with moderates added:

He built his own space program you Communist ding dong.
Since Trump’s election: -Musk got $680 billion richer -Musk became the 1st trillionaire -SpaceX got $10 billion in federal contracts -Tesla & SpaceX paid $0 in federal income taxes Now, Musk’s spending $442 million to keep Republicans in control of Congress. Gee, I wonder why?

The way to "resolve rent issues" is to.....pay your rent.
Every year, thousands of DC residents lose their homes over unpaid rent. Most owe less than $5,000. Going to court is stressful for tenants, expensive for landlords, and slows down the system. We need a better way to resolve rent issues. 🧵⬇️

Oh come on you wingnuts, there's no way the AI is gonna kill us. That just crazy talk.....
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks. By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time. Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

Pointing out that gold leafing everything in site is tacky af and something trashy people mistake for "class" isn't snobby. All you've done is tell everyone you think Olive Garden is fine dining.

What, exactly, are these people trying to "protect" against?
A sprawling election protection effort on the left that is expected to deploy tens of thousands of monitors will be met by the largest-ever monitoring program by the Justice Department and still more observers from Republican-aligned groups. to.pbs.org/4smDH9q

I said Obama's Cheesecake Factory joke relies on his liberal audience being a bunch of sneering jerks. Liberals -- including some big accounts -- responded by filling my mentions with......mean, sneering insults. Owned....I guess.
This joke is just quintessentially Obama Sounds smart but is *really* dumb (CF looks nothing like Trump's golden aesthetic) Reveals that Obama is a huge snob Relies on his lefty audience's own sneering, phony sense of superiority
