If UNM somehow loses, the national media fawning over a non-BSU G6 team cycle will finally end because next up would be Liberty lol.
The New Mexico love is getting out of control. Their strength of schedule after this week will be outside the top 138. They’re literally playing an FCS schedule.
Has anyone heard from those former players who were calling all of us idiots for not wanting Choate to be the HC? I’m guessing not.

Very few on the left will object to this even on just basic decency or humanity grounds -- even if it's just to say: mabye we shouldn't publicly cackle and celebrate when someone is fatally shot in the neck? -- because online group-think means they'll be castigated by their audience and other commentators and they don't have the courage to endure even that kind of trivial criticism.

Understand the implications of what happened in Texas last night.
Gina Hinojosa has called on Gov. Abbott to end state & local cooperation with ICE & she can order that on day one.
Hinojosa voted against the 2017 SB 4 as a TX state rep. The bill was essentially a sanctuary cities ban and required TX law enforcement to cooperate with ICE detainers. She then voted against another SB 4 in 2023, which made it a state crime to cross illegally into Texas.
Should there be another border crisis in coming years, there will likely be no resistance from Texas at the border. No Texas DPS, no TX National Guard, no razor wire or water buoys, and no Operation Lone Star, which Hinojosa called a “dog and pony show” and “political theater”.
Remember when 15,000 Haitians surged illegally into Del Rio, TX in 2021 under the international bridge? That was only stopped because Texas DPS responded on Abbott’s orders and physically blocked further crossings by lining up their cruisers to form a wall. The Biden Border Patrol was caught off guard and offered almost no resistance, except for some horseback agents who were falsely slandered for “whipping”.
Additionally, because Republicans failed to pass any legislation codifying President Trump’s border security measures, if Dems take the White House in 2028, that Dem president could, if he/she wants to, reverse every single Trump border security policy immediately upon taking office because they were all done at the executive level, and they can order Border Patrol to go back to a passive catch & release policy like we saw under Biden.
From an optics standpoint, the Colorado St game came at the perfect time. If 14 went out in his first start against USU or something and really struggled, even in a close win it could create a perception that BSU’s upside is limited with a backup, which can affect ranking.
BSU was outgained on a per play basis for the 4th time this season (Oregon, Memphis, Fresno and now Texas St). A concerning trend. 6.8 YPP for Tex St vs 5.6 for Boise. BSU is now exactly even in net YPP: 6.3 yards on offense and 6.3 given up on defense.
I think UTSA will lose to N Texas anyways, but at least their schedule is in the ballpark of BSU’s (84 for UTSA vs 66 for BSU), when it comes to the G6 playoff spot. New Mexico is currently 130th in SOS (Sagarin) and with a game against Nevada, they could fall outside the top 138
Another swing and a miss by the refs. Douglas clearly got that 1st down. They’ll review and say “stands”.
They had 3 different options to call on that NE play and the refs chose the only 1 that it obviously *wasn’t*. NFL refs continue to embarrass themselves every week.
