Huge congrats to Sam Johnson – winner of the @CheshireGolfLtd Strokeplay Championship @TheWilmslowGC with scores of 70-73-67-69 (-9).
Course looked stunning all week, with greens rolling at 12 on the stimp.
Great to have @TommyFleetwood1 supporting! #CheshireGolf #Wilmslow

Course Update: The course @TheWilmslowGC has reopened today with 13 holes available. Winter greens are in use where the frost is still coming out of the ground. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

The course @TheWilmslowGC is looking stunning under a blanket of snow this morning … beautiful, but not ideal for golf!
It will be a few days before we can reopen, but we’ll keep you updated here & on our website as conditions improve. Stay warm & safe!

On this month’s #MaintenanceMonday, we performed deep tine aeration on greens 2, 6 & 10, using 1-inch solid tines to a 10-inch depth. This will enhance drainage & percolation. We followed with 2 tonnes of topdressing, leaving a clean & polished finish on the surfaces #wilmslow
Our team’s been out checking sand levels, adjusting for consistency & depth across the course @TheWilmslowGC. The playing surfaces & plant health is fantastic as we head into November! ⛳️

Winter Project @TheWilmslowGC
Our team tackled the waterlogged area on the 3rd fairway, installing a new drain & connecting older ones. They raised & turfed the spot, using turf from an out-of-play area that will now be seeded. Course improvements are underway! #golfincheshire
Using a dry Monday @TheWilmslowGC to lightly topdress all greens and work it in with a rubber drag mat. A ‘little and often’ approach keeps the surface firm and smooth without disrupting play ⛳️

Exciting progress at Mobberley Brook @TheWilmslowGC! We're dredging the Brook to remove years of silt & weed buildup, finally revealing this key feature. Improved flow, better playability & a more beautiful course now in play! 🏌️♂️ #CourseMaintenance #GolfCourse #MobberleyBrook
Behind the scenes @TheWilmslowGC! Since January 2024, under Course Manager Callum Goodhind, we've been on a journey to elevate our course. This week, our team is hard at work on the greens, ecology rough & Mobberley Brook. ⛳️ #GolfCourse #WilmslowGolfClub #CourseExcellence
