Too many people use the NIL/Portal as an excuse to validate their ideas that building a program from scratch is like playing a video game. The reality is it takes time, dedication and relentless effort. No amount of NIL magically changes the fundamentals truths of football.
I highly doubt this ends up being the bracket but the fact this even has a chance is why we’re in the greatest period of college football in history. Don’t let the Debbie Downers convince you NIL and the portal have ruined the sport. It’s greater than ever.

Good idea - banks are giving kids loans that they can’t repay, and kids who haven’t been taught financially literacy are taking them.
Then they:
1. End up with a degree that the market won’t pay them for.
2. Have all this student loan debt.
3. Become permanent renters who can’t afford a home and don’t want to start a family.
That’s fertile soil for socialism and radicalism to take root.
Kids need to be taught that a college degree is an investment, and some investments are better financially than others.
This student trap contributing to the economic frustration and the loss of the American dream.
Was it ugly? Yes. But good teams find a way to win ugly games. This team continues to show maturity for 60 minutes with the grit, physicality, and resolve to win.
It doesn’t matter how it gets done or who leads, it only matters that you walk away with the win.
