🇺🇦🕯️In Lviv, hundreds of lamps illuminated the graves of fallen defenders of Ukraine
On the eve of All Saints' Day, memorial lights were simultaneously lit on four fields of Honorable Burials, the Lviv City Council reported.
The lamps were lit at the Lychakiv and Holoskiv cemeteries, where Ukrainian soldiers who gave their lives for the independence of the state rest.

Latvia has just assumed the Presidency of the United Nations Security Council for the first time.
On this day in 1919, Latvian Colonel Krišjānis Berķis signed the order to launch a counteroffensive against German-Russian forces.
After liberating Riga, Latvian forces went on to achieve full victory in the Latvian War of Independence, securing the sovereignty of their young republic in international law.
107 years later, this now enables Latvia to take a world leading role in standing up for the sovereign rights of all nations to exist in peace and security under international law.

The route was long: from Oleshky through Crimea to Anapa in Russia, then a flight to Belarus and onward by road into Chernihiv region. After a journey like that, warm, good food matters a great deal. #ChefsForUkraine

Ruský útok na civilisty na vlakovém nádraží v Dnipru je neomluvitelný. Myslím na rodiny, které se už svých blízkých nedočkají, i na zraněné a všechny Ukrajince, kteří takovému teroru čelí roky.
Ukrajina letos opakovaně veřejně potvrdila, že je připravena jednat o míru. Je na Rusku, aby stejnou ochotu konečně prokázalo také svými činy.
Základem mírových jednání musí být ochrana civilistů a návrat unesených ukrajinských dětí k jejich rodinám. Ukrajinci v tom mají naši podporu, protože si stejně jako my zaslouží žít v bezpečí ve vlastní zemi.

Se zděšením sleduji odporné zprávy o ruském útoku na vlakové nádraží v Dnipru, kde ruský dron zabil nejméně 13 lidí. Za bílého dne.
Apeluji na českou vládu, aby přehodnotila sobecké a hloupé rozhodnutí neposílat Ukrajině zbraně a humanitární pomoc. Mohla to být třeba naše L-159, která by ten dron sestřelila. Vraťme Česko do Evropy a začněme Ukrajině pomáhat.

"Within days, Russian soldiers poisoned their dog, an Alabai, along with all the other large dogs in Oleshky. They killed Liudmila’s nextdoor neighbor and raped his wife. A local butcher disappeared; no one knew whether he was also killed. Some neighbors were detained and beaten. Armed, masked soldiers searched Liudmila’s home three times, confiscating the couple’s Ukrainian passports and leaving them with no documents. And yet, Liudmila and Andriy stayed. They got a new puppy, also an Alabai. Russian troops started to move into civilian houses, parking tanks in what once were gardens."
