Gov. Bob Graham was an amazing fellow. In my former life as a journalist, I had the pleasure of meeting him on numerous occasions, and it was always the same man: gentle, intelligent, erudite, eloquent, but most importantly sympathetic and empathetic.
But he knew where it all began and what was the source of all other vocations: teaching. He bookended his 400 different "Work Days" in a classroom with kids. We may never again see his like. While I am sad to hear of his parting I am happy to know that his legacy will continue.

My friend @Tim_Dorsey was one of those rare people who's as funny in person as he was on the page. In 26 books about #Florida-obsessed "sequential killer" Serge Storms, he taught us what an amazing state we live in & what should befall those who'd ruin it. #RIP Tim, 62.

I confess to much FOMO on covering the collapse of the House of Representatives but @Tierney_Megan and I are working on a new project named Rory. Will return to work (as consensus Speaker) in a couple of months.

We are loving this story of a very well-known local high school teacher who is traveling the backroads of America this summer with his Poodle/Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix.
