#RevilleReviews: The Riot Club
A posh boy with a conscience discovers the dirty underbelly of Oxford University's most elite society. As subtle as a three-tiered croquembouche at a state school tuck shop, but speaks truth about the UK class system's deep-seated flaws

#RevilleReviews: Pulp Fiction
An absolute masterpiece. Each story warranted a standalone Oscar-worthy film, and despite differences in genre/tone/style they flow together perfectly. Peerlessly stylish but also grotesque, funny and clever. The coolest movie ever made

#RevilleReviews: How It Ends
Somehow makes the end of the world boring. Two mopes slowly drift on a road-trip towards a presumed apocalypse. I like films slowly building suspense, but leaving the mysteries unseen / unresolved for too long rendered this a tedious slog

#RevilleReviews: The Notebook
A masterful portrayal of how messy love can be, with 1940s South Carolina offering a suitably gorgeous backdrop. The 'past' scenes are far better than the often hammy 'modern' ones, though tbf the latter build to a truly beautiful ending

#RevilleReviews: Polar Express
A Christmas film lacking in festive cheer. Dark story told with ponderous pacing by creepy dead-eyed frowning characters. Ending was nice and the North Pole looked good but it's a bah humbug for me. Christmas is ruined, cheers Tom Hanks

#RevilleReviews: Paddington in Peru
While the bear himself is still great, all around him splutters. He's basically like the T-Rexes in the Jurassic Park sequels now. Meh story and poor new characters, but the ending was good. Most importantly - my kids enjoyed it!

We are all saddened to hear of the passing of much-loved journalist, Neville Foulger.
Covering countless City games, Nev commentated on some of the Club’s greatest moments across several decades.
Nev was known by many generations as the voice of Leicester City, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him 💙
#RevilleReviews: Gladiator II
A suitably epic blood-soaked sequel to a swashbuckling classic. Yes the plot's iffy but the time flew by. A visual and audio treat that sets a worthy stage for great actors, though strange to see IASIP's McPoyle brothers as Emperors.

Great local journalists tells the stories and lives of our communities.
Few have done it so well as @PTdavidlowndes2 through his photos over 51 years.
It was a privilege to commend his service to Peterborough in Parliament today.
🫡 Thank you David.

#RevilleReviews Joker 2
Much better than the reviews! While *CGI riot mayhem* may have been more popular, far more compelling to tell mental illness fantasies from claustrophobic jails and courts. Weird and self-indulgent, but refreshing to see a risky blockbuster.

#RevilleReviews: Grease
High points as good as almost any film. Some slow parts & mad bits (upskirting, fat shaming, pervy judge) but the characters, songs & energy hit so hard you barely notice. Still cool, still funny and still worthy of iconic pop culture status!

Buzzing for county-by-county updates of @LiamGallagher appearances
Welcome to my new followers, an army of definitely real young women with posh first names, unusual surnames and glamorous photos. They're gagging to read my Leicester City musings and movie reviews. Great they each found me after setting up accounts in the last few days! #NotBots
#RevilleReviews: Beetlejuice
I love movies that unapologetically throw you into a mad world. Betelgeuse, living characters and 'civil service' ghosts all great, main ghosts a bit meh. Love the rubbish special effects and weird music! Feels just like a dream/nightmare

We are all devastated to hear that our former defender, Sol Bamba, has passed away, aged 39.
Sol, a popular figure during his brief but memorable stay in Leicester, made 55 appearances for the Foxes, scoring four goals.
Our thoughts are with Sol’s friends and family at this sad time.
