๐บ๐ฆ๐ช๐บ Zelensky:
Russia wants to negotiate something new. I don't know what they're talking about, some security infrastructure in Europe.
How can you negotiate security infrastructure in Europe without Europe?
What will you negotiate? With whom? With China? Interesting.

Russia is a superpower only in the heads of American and European elites. 12 years of war and 1.5m Russian casualties and they still canโt defeat Ukraine.
๐ต๐ฑ โThe myth that Russia always wins has been successfully planted in the West. But history tells a very different story,โ โ Polish Foreign Minister Radosลaw Sikorski
The minister pointed out that Russia has not always emerged victorious from its wars:
โThey lost the Crimean War. They lost the war against Japan. They emerged from World War I with their tails between their legs. They lost their invasion of Poland. They lost in Afghanistan. And they lost the Cold War.โ
โSo things can turn out very differently,โ Sikorski emphasized.

How Modern Military Engineering Turned the Minefields of the russian-Ukrainian War into a Smart, High-tech Weapon.
At the start of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, laying mines meant severe danger. Sappers, loaded down with heavy ordnance, had to physically walk to the frontline to plant explosives just kilometers away from enemy positions.
Today, the logic of combat has completely changed. Lt. Col. Maksym Dyachuk from the Support Forces of 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces of Ukraine breaks down how remote mining has evolved in his piece for Oboronka, the military-oriented outlet of Ukrainska Pravda & Mezha: oboronka.mezha.ua/distanciynโฆ
Here is how Ukrainian paratroopers are using technology to outsmart and outpace the enemy:
1๏ธโฃ The Technological Shift: From Boots on the Ground to Drones:
In 2022, frontline mining carried immense risks. Over time, Western artillery munitions (like RAAMS and HIMARS cluster rounds) helped in extending the reach. But as russian tactics shifted away from massive armored columns toward small infantry infiltration groups, Ukrainian mining tools changed too.
Heavy bomber drones - such as Vampire, Kazhan, and Nemesis - now act as "mine trucks." They can carry dozens of kilograms of payload to rapidly re-mine routes the moment the enemy tries to clear them.
2๏ธโฃ The Numbers Behind the Minefield Competition:
The stats speak for themselves:
* 98% anti-personnel mines: With the enemy relying on infiltration tactics rather than mechanized assaults, the structure of modern minefields has adapted.
* 10 to 1 ratio: On certain sectors of the front, Ukrainian forces maintain a massive advantage in the volume of deployed mines compared to the adversary.
* Staggering losses: In just a single month, Russian forces lost nearly 1,100 personnel and 119 units of equipment attempting to navigate these zones.
3๏ธโฃ Digitization at Scale:
You cannot manage tens of thousands of individual mines on a paper map. The 7th Corps relies heavily on Ukraine's situational awareness system, DELTA. It allows engineers to plan, track, and analyze the placement of over 30,000 single mines in real-time, ensuring precise control over the entire defensive grid.
4๏ธโฃ Smart, Controlled Detonation:
Modern defensive lines no longer just "wait" for the enemy. Ukrainian airborne forces utilize remote and controlled detonation mechanisms. Unlike traditional pressure-triggered traps that risk accidental triggers from wildlife or falling branches, these systems allow operators to activate the charge precisely when targeted enemy forces are passing through - maximizing impact while guaranteeing the safety of our own personnel.
Mining has evolved from one of the war's most hazardous manual tasks into a sophisticated chess match involving intelligence, logistics, drones, and digital software. It goes beyond just stopping the adversaries - it disrupts their momentum, strips away their mobility, and turns them into vulnerable targets.

๐ Ears on the Border
Deep in Lithuania's forests, Bundeswehr soldiers are installing special sensors on trees to monitor radio signals coming from Belarus and Russia.
The operation is carried out by Germany's 45th Brigade, stationed in Lithuania. Its mission is to detect new air defense radars, troop movements, and other military activity near NATO's borders before they become a threat.
The intelligence collected is fed into NATO databases and used, among other things, to update the systems of Eurofighter jets.
So now, when Belarus switches on a new military radar, NATO might know about it before Lukashenko even gets the briefing.

A few weeks ago, the Spectre 33 Special Unit which belongs to Ukraine's HUR MO has published the so far best images of a Naval SOF unit I've seen so far. The soldiers are armed with HK416 assault rifles, of which Germany has officially delivered 4,750 as of April 2025.
However, my research โ I published a detailed article in August โ shows that Germany must have delivered several thousand additional HK416s to Ukraine since the German government stopped disclosing its military assistance.

Ukrainian automated air defense turrets have shot down more than 60 Russian aerial targets under the Private Air Defense project, including dozens over Kyiv in the past month, according to Ukraineโs Ministry of Defense.
Interestingly, the ministry confirms that these turrets have also intercepted Russian jet-powered Bandะตrol and Geran-5 drones.

๐ฅ๐Ukraineโs 1st National Guard Corps โAzovโ has struck over 100 Russian trains transporting supplies to the front, targeting locomotives, fuel tankers, and other railway equipment.
The strikes are disrupting Russian fuel deliveries and military logistics along key railway routes supplying the front.
War on Credit: Over 100 Trains Hit
The enemy is doing all it can to create the image of successfully capturing settlements, yet it cannot protect the key railway stations through which its fuel supply chain toward the front runs. Neither mobile fire groups nor electronic warfare systems can safeguard the occupying forceโs logistics routes.
Thanks to your donations and the work of the Come Back Alive Foundation, which provided 440 Starlink Minis, fires from First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine have hit more than 100 trains that were moving logistics shipments for the enemy.
Locomotives, fuel tank cars, and other assets have been disabled. This makes it possible to disrupt the enemyโs supply at the front line and destroy its offensive potential.

Ukraineโs Defense Forces punched three holes in Russiaโs air defense in a single day, opening more room for Ukrainian drones to work.
Hit on October 27 and overnight into October 28:
- Tor-2M SAM system, near Rzhava, Kursk region
- Radar station, near Maloye Gorodkovo, Kursk region
- EW station, near Semyachki, Bryansk region
- Logistics depot, near Valerianivka, temporarily occupied Donetsk region
Each one leaves a gap. Strikes on key military targets will continue until Russia ends its war against Ukraine.

Two weeks before Starlink's speed cap hit Ukraine's drones, a small Ukrainian satellite was already in orbit
On 1 October, a SpaceX rocket carried a test craft that Denmark's GomSpace built for the Ukrainian firm Himera, the companies say. A day later, the team heard its first signals.
Then, on 14 October, the links Ukraine's drones fly on began cutting out at speed, and missions were disrupted.
Himera wants its own network, run by a Ukrainian operator and backed by satellites and ground terminals produced in Ukraine.
"For us, this project is about more than launching a satellite," co-founder Misha Rudominski said.
For now, it is one test craft with no timeline. Public trackers list just one Ukrainian satellite from that launch, named UASAT-Nano, though 26 objects from it are still unidentified.

Entire streets in Kramatorsk, Ukraine, are covered with dense coils of concertina wire, creating a formidable obstacle to potential Russian infantry attempting to advance through the city.
The wire is laid so densely that moving through these streets on foot would be extremely difficult.
