Wrote in Joe Fagnano for Governor of Maryland
Poll worker told me he wasn’t on the ballot. I told her he wasn’t supposed to be the Ravens starting QB either
She started crying, stood up, and led the entire polling station in the national anthem
This is bigger than football

That should be the silhouetted quote in the beginning of Brian Cashman’s Yankeeography episode.

The MRI says mild… so why is Cooper Flagg out until next week? 👀 …10 days or longer? Tell me 👇
🏀 Cooper Flagg, left shoulder
The MRI is back, and the word "mild" is doing a lot of work here 👇
1️⃣ What the film shows
Nesmith hits him in the air on the fast break dunk, both arms up, and he goes down hard under the rim. He grabs that left shoulder right away, shoots his free throws, then heads back before half.
2️⃣ Why it matters
Mild sprain means the ligaments got stretched, not torn, and the joint stayed in place. That's the good news. The Mavs didn't say which joint, but a hit like this usually points to the AC joint on top of the shoulder or the capsule around the ball and socket. And it's his left side. Flagg shoots right handed, so his jumper isn't the main concern. Reaching for rebounds, finishing through contact and taking bumps on that arm are.
Path A: Low grade AC sprain. Pain settles, strength comes back, and he's back around the reevaluation. Low grade AC sprains cost athletes about 10 days on average.
Path B: More capsule involvement with some looseness in the socket. They take it slower, a few weeks, so the joint doesn't keep slipping.
3️⃣ What I'd watch next
1. Is he getting shots up at practice with no sleeve or sling
2. Can he reach overhead and take contact on that left arm
3. What the Mavs say at next week's reevaluation
Takeaway: I lean A. Last night I had him missing 0 to 2 games, and "reevaluated next week" says longer than that. Dallas is protecting their franchise player, not panicking.
How many games does he miss? 👇

if you watched the NFL and thought something didn't feel right, you're not alone:
#1 most flags in over a decade
thru 4 weeks, refs are impacting the most CRITICAL moments of games most:
#1 most red zone penalties per game by offenses in history
#1 most penalties on 3rd/4th downs in the second half of games in history
and 17 touchdowns nullified by penalty! (vs only 5 in 2025 & 4 in 2024)
Refs are impacting the most important moments of games unlike we've ever seen before in the NFL, and even some of the coaches are speaking up

The NFL’s double standard is glaring: they continue to villainize players like Dre Greenlaw and Azeez Al-Shaair, who are perfect off the field, while Alaric Jackson’s repeated violent behavior is seemingly met with apathy. The league’s inconsistency in handling player conduct remains a massive problem.
Rams tackle Alaric Jackson, who is facing a potential suspension for punching Bills DE Bradley Chubb, was not suspended by the NFL after an arrest for felony domestic violence this June.
Police said the arrest was for “willfully inflicting physical or corporal injury resulting in a ‘traumatic condition’ (such as a bruise, scratch, swelling, or internal injury) on an intimate partner.”
He entered a diversion program that required probation and anger management classes.
He was also suspended for two games by the NFL in 2024 for violating its personal conduct policy following a lawsuit filed by a woman alleging he recorded her without her consent during sex.
