There is extremely legitimate concern that American tech workers are being replaced not my immigrants, but enslaved people on work visas.
🚨EXCLUSIVE MICROSOFT LEAK: Employees are questioning if Microsoft is abusing H-1B and PERM programs. A Senior Director at MSFT (good friend of mine) just sent me internal messages between MSFT & some of its employees. Today, Microsoft just asked THOUSANDS of its employees to voluntarily resign, despite just reporting $133.7B in net income for FY26, up 31%. Employees are questioning why MSFT isn’t pro-actively downsizing by removing H1B employees before American workers. Other employees are asking why any employee cuts are being made when profits are so high. Fair question if ya ask me. See below to see all of the orgs being asked to voluntarily resign. This is absolutely going to impact Washington States workers.

The same Liberals who will tell you a transphobic Democrat should win in a red state will prop up people like Andy Beshear for being pro-trans in a red state. These people are political cancer. All anti-trans talking points need to be barred from Democrat policy. There is no longer a conversation about transgender people to be had in public. They get the rights the Republicans want to take away. End.
i would rather democrats like this lose than have any sway with democrats. it would be better for the party and country if any transphobic democrat like this loses and i am actively rooting for him and anyone like him to lose

I cannot stress enough that if you took the payout offer from Microsoft WE DO NOT NEED PODCASTS

but the value of the home is inflated and fake today. in 2008 the housing collapse punished everyone because not only did people lose their jobs, but they lost market value in their homes. people couldn’t get out of their mortgages without filing for bankruptcy or defaulting.
Only 2.2% of mortgaged homes are underwater, per Goldman Sachs. In 2008, it was roughly 1 in 4.

this is basically what i was asked to do for the last year i was working at Microsoft btw

Microsoft offers buyouts to 60,000 employees. This latest exit offer is available to far more employees than the previous retirement one, and comes just months after Microsoft laid off 4,800 employees. Full details here 👇theverge.com/tech/1018666/mi…

viva GTFO portal is down for all Microsoft employees as they figure out if they have a job or not today
I talked to some of my old coworkers at Microsoft, and apparently they didn't even email people. It's on an internal portal that is currently crashing under the traffic 🙃

Microsoft is offering buyouts to about 60,000 employees in latest cost cuts, roughly a quarter of its workforce, as the company tries to control its head count while avoiding layoffs ➡️ seattletimes.com/business/mi… #Microsoft

For the last year or so I was working there we were working on AI generated security items and told to merge AI fixes unless we knew they would break production code.
$MSFT is reportedly offering buyouts to around 60K employees representing ~25% of its U.S. workforce.

I do not think people understand how many repo's a company like this has. They get shuffled around like a deck of cards with little consideration. Code from 2016.

The online Left needs to figure out how to engage with tech workers. There has been a decade of tech worker decline, lower compensations and no merit increases while reporting quarterly record profits thru 2020-present. What this means is if a tech worker entered after around 2016, they have received less and less of what they want people to believe. I entered tech in 2019, worked for Microsoft from 2020-2026. I have money to spend, donate, save. I could move to a red state and purchase a home with cash. There is nothing that fixes housing prices in the Seattle area. I had co-workers who purchased $1.1m homes in 2022 who couldn't afford them and are now getting laid off. The promise of the American Dream is denied to everyone born after 1980.

This is exactly how bad it is. There is no world anyone on the Left wants to live in where someone who has a desirable job in a desirable industry would be getting denied owning their own home where they work.

And to deny how bad it is for many tech workers is refusing to understand this means every bracket of income below mine has a much, much, much, harder time overall.
