The Charlotte Hornets on Feb. 11 are retiring the No. 1 jersey of Muggsy Bogues, the shortest player in NBA history at 5-foot-3. Bogues spent 10 of his 14 NBA seasons in Charlotte (1988-1998) and is the franchise leader in assists, steals and minutes.

9th Wonder met a stranger in Raleigh NC in February of 2003. The stranger’s name was T. After listening to 9th beats, he told him β€œif I’m ever around somebody that needs some beats, I’ll them about you”. In September of 2003, he gets a call from Young Guru telling him to come to NYC to play beats for JAY-Z. 2 months later on November 14th 2003, The Black Album dropped & he was on it. On the song they made, Hov said β€œ9th Wonder”, & it changed 9th’s life. He was selling beats for $100-$300 before that. His life changed in less than a year solely because he was prepared & super studious in his craft when he met the right stranger.

SWAC Commissioner Dr. Charles McClelland informed me that more than 200,000 viewers watched the slate of college football games that aired on SWAC TV last week (Oct. 3rd, 2026). About 5.5 million minutes were watched LIVE (not including on-demand views). #SWACTV @theswac

It’s the exact same script. They’re all reading from the EXACT SAME SCRIPT. β€œIt’s just a tool.” β€œIf you don’t adapt, you’ll get left behind.” The commercial music industry dates back 500 years. We’ve never had trouble creating music without AI. The nonsense is propaganda.

Dr. Dre officially confirms he’s using AI to make music: β€œI think the only people that see it as a threat are the people who have trouble creating.” β€œIt’s a new tool for creativity. Some people are afraid of learning new things.”

One of my favorite scenes from The Five Heartbeats He brought that character to life in a way that made you feel every mistake, and ultimately, that redemption. That scene always hit different. Rest well, Michael Wright πŸ™πŸΎπŸ•ŠοΈ

Last week Donald Trump called Stephen A. Smith β€œlow IQ” and no one seemed interested in defending the man β€” himself included. Smith is a man without a country, writes @stevenjgaither. And he brought it on himself. hbcugameday.com/2026/06/15/d…
