A Travis County court ordered Major euthanized. On October 26, a federal court in Austin stopped it for good.
Under the ADA, the Court granted a permanent injunction, finding Shane Lilly is a qualified individual with a disability and losing Major would be irreparable harm.
The City of Austin is now permanently barred from euthanizing him.
Within 30 days he goes to a licensed rescue outside Austin and Travis County, then at least 30 days of decompression with veterinary behaviorist Dr. Kenneth Martin to rehabilitate and retrain him.
Strict conditions: secure enclosure, muzzle and leash, $100,000 liability coverage, court reports every 30 days for a year.

They sold America a sob story about a "Texas father" who got deported with no criminal record. What they didn't tell you is that he's an illegal alien from Mali who has had a final removal order from a judge since 2012.
DHS's top lawyer pulled his file. The reason he gave for fearing a return to Mali was that he's gay. The man is married to a woman and has kids.
That's the asylum scam in one case file. 60 Minutes didn't uncover a wrongful deportation.

A Texas father who had lived in the U.S. for 25 years with no criminal record was finishing his night shift as an Uber driver when immigration agents detained him.
Without being able to speak to his lawyer or a judge, he was put on a plane and sent first to Ghana, a country where he had no ties. Photo released of what appears to be a muslim man who stole the 9 year old husky from Filiberto Reyes' backyard on October 4th. The dog was later found dead, hanging by its leash from a large metal door in an alley just off Magnolia St in the Los Angles area.
