Jack Smith on Trump’s behavior on January 6, 2021: β€œHe was getting calls from people he trusts, people he relies on, and he still refused to come to the aid of the people at the Capitol. That’s evidence for criminal intent in our case.” @Acyn (2025)

Alexei Navalny was the man Putin feared most. He was a lawyer with a YouTube channel who showed Russians exactly how their leaders were robbing them. Russia poisoned him, jailed him and killed him in an Arctic prison. He was 47. 🧡

Allegedly because we need to be smarter...and somehow depleting our valuable water resources, sucking huge amounts of energy from the grid, ruining the communities in which these centres sit, and throwing many out of work...signifies this.

So that big businesses and govts can reduce their transactions to be simply algorithms and sack millions of people. Not for the common good in many instances.

The ideal solution would be for these data centers to help us fix the problems that humanity faces/causes. The probable reality is that they will make some very rich people richer still.

She comes across as exactly what she is: public school, Oxford, upper middle class roots, highly paid. All the experience of life & attitudes, including political ones, you would expect such a person to have.
First question asks about tax and spending. Fiona Bruce immediately steers it to welfare. The host should be impartial, she never has been. #SackFionaBruce #bbcqt

The US is trying to pressure Lithuania to let Belarusian potash be shipped through their ports. The response? "We say very clearly 'fuck no.' If Americans are not able to learn from history then we have to stand the ground." Thank you Lithuania for your steadfast support.πŸ’™πŸ’›

Why doesn’t Kushner ask Russia to stop bombing cities? Shopping malls, hospitals, passenger trains, gas stations are all being targeted.
β€œKushner told Zelensky that he should pause the strikes because he and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff were dedicating a lot of time, energy, and jet fuel to mediating with Moscow, one of the U.S. officials said. A 30-day pause on refineries would be a way for Ukraine to show gratitude, that U.S. official said.” An almost comical thing to tell a nation fighting for its existence. Lay down your weapons because we are exhausted from taking a private jet. wsj.com/world/ukraine-pauses…

17 busloads of ordinary people from the Ukrainian town of Oleshky, who had been on the brink of starvation under Russian occupation, chose to evacuate to Ukrainian-controlled territory. Only 4 busloads chose to go to Russia. That, pretty much, tells you everything you need to know about what Ukrainians want, even after all these years of this inhumane war.

So, predictably, Burnham comes up here to discuss devolution with Welsh & Scottish FMs & then emerges to tell us his stance hasn’t change one iota. His plan is still to try & cheat Scottish electorate by shifting power from those we elected to use these powers to those we didn’t.

Ward? 75 million to run an empty prison??? Each year??? This is utter fraud!!! And it ain’t the Somalis at all
A private prison company offered Minnesota an empty prison for 75 million dollars. The state said no. Then Trump’s administration paid the same company almost 500 million for it. The prison has sat empty in Appleton, Minnesota since 2010. Last year CoreCivic emailed the state and offered to sell it for 75 million, upgrades included. Minnesota passed. Fifteen months later, Homeland Security bought it for an ICE detention center at 495.6 million. How could this be? You guessed it. CoreCivic gave half a million dollars to Trump’s inaugural committee. And it still gets paid about 75 million a year to run the place. Republicans love talking about fraud in Minnesota. JD Vance says his task force is all over it. So where are they on this one? I break it all down in today’s show (link in reply).
