Let's be honest, most of us wouldn't survive five minutes in resident evil, and Bryan is the perfect example.
Bad aim, constant panic, wasting ammo, swearing at everything and making questionable decisions.
People really think they'd turn into Leon Kennedy or Chris Redfield the second they step into Raccoon City. Be serious. Bryan is probably the most realistic RE protagonist we've ever had

The Raccoon City events took place in the US Midwest (likely Missouri) in 1998, not a modern era.
There are no actual zombies, no lickers, no tyrants, no RPD, no actual Umbrella, not even T-Virus is there. The movie is its own thing trying to use REs name as a skin like a leech.

Its writing is bad, and it doesnt even work as an adaptation because it is NOT a Resident Evil movie.
If it was an RE movie, it would be accurate to the source material. It wasnt even filmed in the US, but in Czech Republic out of all places (which doesnt fit the setting at all).

Plus if you wanna add horror to comedy, you do it right. People complain about the movie's ending not having a dramatic impact that it needs, because of this problem. You cant just throw jokes at random every god damn moment. Either do a serious horror, or comedy.
