An apostate architect's take. Written a year ago. Now thinking 2 mil (half homes, half apartments). Black America can't just be consumers. Wealth creation requires massive engagement as builders- makers - in addition to all other things needing to happen. archinect.com/features/artic…

Now listening to Trump deliver a Saturday Night Live skit. Do l laugh or cry? Oops, even SNL couldn't top this. Now thinking it is not funny at all; just so sad. He opened with his own scripted words but now adlibbing. Audience calling for old fans. OMG!!!! Elon, help.

Elon's X is an open sewer. A 10 minute stroll thru it must be followed by a 30 minute hot shower. An X stroll is as bad as witnessing a Trump Cabinet meeting.

And there you have it! The Revolution he is calling for is much closer, thanks to the antics of the mad King George now in the Whitehouse.

We can apply this to every American endeavor and profession. Btwn 1865 and the 1877 overthrow of Reconstruction the leveling playing field had us on track for total parity by 1900. The Confederacy becomes New Africa ala New England in the upper Northeast. That's still possible.
Watched the movies Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick? The first Top Gun competition was held in 1949. The white pilots competed with the latest state of art aircraft while the black pilots were forced to compete with older obsolete planes. After 3 days of competition The Tuskegee Airmen team of : Captain Alva Temple, 1st Lieutenant Harry Stewart, 1st Lieutenant James Harvey, and 1st Lieutenant Halbert Alexander (alternate) were announced the winners. The official results for first place were recorded as “unknown” for nearly 46 years. There was dead silence in the room. Not one of their colleagues applauded this accomplishment. The victory was swept under the rug and the trophy ‘went missing’ and was not seen by the public for 55 years (until 2004). Introducing the real Top Guns. 73 years after the historic win, the American Association of Retired Persons’ Wish of a Lifetime organization met with Harvey to grant his “wish” – that his team be widely recognized.

See Charles Blow's book, The Devil You Know but with a few critical adjustments. The power of states (even more so as blocks) still rules supreme.

I can't stop calling it "Metropolis." I saw it, then red a dozen reviews. All are mostly rambling show-offs of reviewer's writing chops. All mention in passing earlier Coppola desire to remake 1950 Ayn Rand's Fountainhead movie. He just did that. Period. moviemusicuk.us/2024/10/08/m…

Go see the movie Metropolis. Cupolla laid it all out.
Is he bowing to Trump? And what is up with that look on Elon’s face? They are weird.

I just saw Francis Ford Coppola's movie Metropolis. He got inside of the brains of Elon Musk and the WSJ opinion wing nuts. They're all there. It's also a 75yr update of the Fontainhead but Coppola is no Ayn Rand. Just the opposite. Don't say that Coppola didn't warn you.

"The Architecture of Urbanity" makes an unassailable case for mid-density. Not so much for how it can and must be done in a truly equitable manner that closes the Blk-Yt wealth gap. But in all fairness, making that case is not on Vishaan. bloomberg.com/news/features/… via @citylab

While not author's intent, article compells immediate founding of at least 100 more HBCUs across U.S. where Blacks have settled. Head of United Negro College Fund made case for HBCUs as key to increase in Black prosperity. Logic of more is indisputable. pewresearch.org/short-reads/…

His model for 50K pop. Soul City was Columbia, MD, a 100K pop. new town by Yt developer James Rouse (now done). 100 new Blk-led cities as much needed as are 100 more HBCUs. Neither are "separatist" ideas; Both required to close Yt-Blk wealth disparities. myfox8.com/miniseries/soul-c…

Incredible how such a technologically gifted and visionary person can be carrying on in such a hamfisted, transparent manner on X. Either pure evil or deliberately sabotaging Trump. We will know soon enough.
The right time to call what Elon Musk is doing on Twitter "election interference" is now. He's posting data he knows is false to be seen by hundreds of millions—then ensuring it receives no Community Note. In a healthy democracy what he's doing would at least be a civil offense.

Replying to @elonmusk
U.S. an evolving society since 1865. It went "far left" w/ 1964/65 Civil/Voting Rights Acts passage. Roe repeal a temp setback to be restored w/ other equal gender rights. Either goes back to illiberal reactionary right or forward with liberal left. No going back. Get over it!
