Before he was a famous singer, Tony Bennett helped liberate a subcamp of Dachau in April 1945 as part of the US Army’s 63rd Infantry Division. nytimes.com/2023/07/21/arts/…
Of all of the Tony Bennett homages, this one made me happy. For his memory IS a blessing

As the world mourns Tony Bennett, the incredible vocalist, one should honor the fact that Tony was among the young men that liberated Dachau, playing a part in saving the lives of thousands of Jews, including Elie Wiesel, R Lau, and many more.
May his family & fans find comfort.
We live on ‘Willowbrook’ lane and every couple of years I think we can see ‘Willow Brook.’ This afternoons sighting was particularly impressive. (There’s supposed to be a street there, not a Brook)

Hey @AmericanAir, there are nearly 100 people on this plane with me in D.C. We’ve been sitting in this plane for 4 hours, on the ground. No food. No water. No real clue about what happening. Pretty much everyone had connecting flights. So…what’s happening?! @FAANews any ideas? – at Alexandria, VA

My latest: Rogue generals using their troops to attack the government they're supposed to serve? Preventing that from happening - and not an individual right to self defense - is why we have the #2A.

Flying standby out of Charlotte and have been denied access into the @AmericanExpress lounge because I don’t have a seat assignment. Although I’ve shown my ticket receipt, ID, card & boarding pass, manager says it’s a liability issue and he just can’t let me in. Is it just me?

Philadelphia. Watched an old man, hunched over a cane, talking in his phone with ear buds in his ears cross chestnut on a red light. #philly
It’s eye wateringly smoky out there. Dog and I did not approve. #smokey

As I left the House chambers, I pressed my light to speak—a reminder that this legislature is removing 11,000 Montanans from discussion on every bill going forward.
I will always stand on behalf of my constituents, my community, and democracy itself.
