Everyone always forgets that in the Emperor's New Clothes that *after* the child has pointed out the nakedness the adults all carry on as before anyway because it's too awkward to stop and confront the truth.
I see that Paul Scully has claimed Sparkhill is a no-go area...
Which is interesting because I often work there in the community and I manage to go there without incident...
Got something in my eye listening to this...
In all seriousness though, the conductor missed an opportunity on being introduced, to say "Ta".
I'll miss Steve Wright.

The grim thing is that normally most in Westminster wouldn’t have batted an eyelid at this. It’s only because Brianna’s mother was in Parliament it’s being picked up. Trans people have slowly become the butt of political jokes under several PMs. This should be a wake up call.

This piece articulates exactly what we hear in focus groups and find in polling - the public think that politicians are ducking the big challenges facing our country at a time when they don't want 'more of the same'
Ditching your most interesting policies isn't a recipe for winning power or for wielding it - Keir Starmer should stand by his £28bn green investment plan. Me for @theipaper: inews.co.uk/opinion/keir-sta…
Given how her round of interviews with BBC local radio went, I'm not sure going on the Today programme or similar would have helped her survival chances...

Another cheap BBC shot from Truss, for whom it’s a habit. Perhaps if she had subjected herself to more interrogations on Today and other non partisan media organisations her premiership would have gone better.
This is glorious for Jo Coburn having a daft question actually slapped down by Jess Phillips.
More of this please. Calling what Liz Truss is doing 'debate' is intellectually barren. Labour needs to give this stuff the short shrift it deserves.

Jess Phillips: The idea Liz Truss invented talking about growth is for the birds, she's famous for talking about cheese... I'd have kicked her out of the party
Jo Coburn: What's wrong with lively intellectual debate
JP: You're not getting it from Liz Truss

This Liz Truss rant against wokeism is less of a new album, and more the B-side to her 2022 Conference speech...
This is one of the most inhumane but also unsurprising things you'll ever see. How much are the lives of the most vulnerable worth? Turns out it's a £1k flutter...
Also, how on earth is Sunak so bad at politics that he thinks this is a good look?!
Rishi Sunak has accepted a £1,000 bet from Piers Morgan that deportation flights to Rwanda will be up and running before the General Election.
The full interview is due to be shown on the Piers Morgan Uncensored YouTube channel at 2pm and TalkTV at 8pm on Monday (5 February).

Tired: Packers QBs own the Bears...
Wired: Mark Murphy owns the Bears...
My cousin Bill applied for the Green Bay Packers Defensive Coordinator opening. He received a hand written letter back from President & CEO Mark Murphy. It reads:
“Bill,
Thanks so much for your cover letter and resume regarding our Defensive Coordinator position. While your fantasy football experience is impressive, I regret to inform you that we have decided to go in a different direction. I hear the Bears have an opening - you look to be a perfect fit for them. Thanks again.
Sincerely-Mark”
Absolutely incredible.
