In the 11th Edition of the Merck Foundation Africa Asia Luminary 2024, which highlighted the foundation's work with underserved communities in Africa, I urged the Merck Foundation to consider extending their programs to cover child health and education, particularly in the area of school feeding.
Nutrition is critical in unlocking children’s potential, and a healthy meal can be the bridge that enables children to attend school, concentrate on their education, and unlock their potential to succeed in life.
Kenya further appreciates the @MerckFoundation for providing over 210 scholarships to local doctors in underserved medical specialities as part of our shared commitment to empowering women, tackling stigma, and driving sustainable change.

At the Merck Foundation First Ladies Initiative meeting earlier today, I had the opportunity to share my journey of empowering women economically through table banking and championing the voice of children in Kenya.
This forum offers us, as First Ladies, a valuable platform for peer learning, allowing us to share our experiences and identify new pathways of collaboration.
