The NFL suspended a player, then retreated to a fine. What exactly did they see the first time that disappeared on appeal? With cameras covering every inch of the field, there’s no excuse for suspending a player without indisputable evidence. That’s incompetence #BillsMafia
Statement from Bills DB Sam Franklin Jr.’s agents, Harold C. Lewis and Christian Addison, after appeals officer James Thrash reduced Franklin’s one-game suspension to a $14,926 fine for unsportsmanlike conduct:
“As we said from the start, Sam did not and would never spit at an opponent, and there was no evidence that he did. We're glad the suspension was overturned and grateful to the hearing officer for a fair and thorough review. It's unfortunate the league suspended Sam in the first place based on an unsupported accusation that received so much undeserved attention, and we hope the outcome is covered just as widely. We also hope the league takes a serious look at the opposing player's conduct, including striking Sam in the groin twice during the game. We're glad this is behind him, so Sam can get back to focusing on his teammates and next Sunday.”
He’s a quality backup S, he’ll get you through a month or a game. When he’s rostered as such along with being a good ST player he has value and it’s why he keeps making the roster. He just can’t be your 17 game starter, that’s when it goes downhill
Looking at the comments, Rivalries are part of what makes sports great. But when your hatred of another team runs so deep you can’t appreciate a generational talent making extraordinary plays, you’ve lost the plot. You can root against someone and still recognize greatness
If the divisions don’t matter then get rid of all the divisions and just have 2 conferences…I’ve been advocating for this for awhile, but with that said as long as there are divisions the winner of the division deserves an advantage over a team(s) that didn’t
