I know I’ve done nothing wrong but the policewoman wants to search my car’s trunk. She slowly inspects and questions every item, even making us remove a camper from the trunk. This drags on and on, for hours; finally I complain to her supervisor. #dream
I want to speak to my (long deceased) grandmother but don’t know how to find her. My older sister says the address is 100 something (I can only recall the 100, not the street name or town). #dream

In a car with estranged husband. I’m in the driver’s seat, but reclined back. The car is moving... I sit up straight, think I’d better pay attention, take control... but—this is odd, puzzling, concerning—there’s no steering wheel! How am I supposed to steer this thing?!?#dream
After an event in a big arena, I get up from my seat to gather my things and realize I’ve lost a shoe—an elaborate black high-heeled shoe. People help me search but we never find it. Luckily, I’m wearing a second pair of shoes. #dream
I crumple two sheets of paper and bury the balls in the dirt of a large potted plant. The papers had secret information I want to hide from others.

No matter how much I water a large potted plant, the topsoil looks dry—so I keep adding more water. After awhile I notice the plant (pot, dirt, plant & all) is slowly sinking down into a lower pot, beneath. I guess all the water saturated the soil on the bottom. #dream
I’m in a room painted light blue with white trim. I realize all the other rooms in the house have cream-colored trim, and decide I should repaint the trim in this room to match the rest of the house. #dream
A tiger stalks two boys as they walk past the woods. Tiger pounces, attacks the older boy. Knocks him down. Bites his head, once. Prowls in a circle, then pads away. I think: It’s lucky that tiger wasn’t hungry! The boy will survive; he only lost a tooth. #dream

In 2011, a celebrity Galápagos tortoise pair broke up in spectacular fashion. Though the couple had happily cohabitated for about 90 years, they suddenly could no longer stand each other. They now live on opposite sides of a glass wall and Bibi hisses whenever she spots her ex.
My iPhone, as I hold it, suddenly turns into a cardboard carton with rounded ends (like an old-time McDonald’s apple pie sleeve) and printed all over with tiny Chinese characters. The “sleeve” is hollow inside. Puzzled, I push on the top; does it still work as a phone? #dream
I see a white dog with red spots, sort of like a Dalmatian except the spots are red and quite uniform — perfect little circles, like polka-dots. #dream
First I’m appalled to see two mice in the house, then relieved when two cats chase after them. However, one mouse dies atop a block of poison, with a cat hovering above, and now I worry the cat will eat the mouse and be poisoned in turn. #dream
Estranged husband mentions a natural disaster (earthquake?) in Australia. I say angrily, “I hope it hit where your girlfriend lives!” I don’t know the name of his Australian girlfriend and am angry that he won’t reveal it. I cradle our grown son in my arms like a baby. #dream
Mom and I gather eggs to bring to a little girl’s birthday party. I have to throw out a few rotten ones but there are still plenty of good eggs. #dream
