High pressure will build in through 20th/21st I think that warm, dry, sunny and settled weather will continue for the SOUTH till pretty much October For the NORTH... Joining in on that at times too, just risk of some dampness of Atlantic further NW at times High pressure most extensive 21-24th #UKweather

I hate the term "Indian summer' It is not a formal meteorological term Lets instead just say a nice warm settled spell is on the way #UKweather

My thoughts are very much looking at winter already (as usual) We know that nowadays cold winters don't happen often, and with the ways things are going with energy/oil/gas, a cold winter would be crippling for this country Any chances of cold conditions I will pick out as far in advance as possible 👍

For September There is still a signal for higher pressure Leading to more dry and warm weather Probably 2nd week onwards if we see the MJO get a trickle on Will update as not high confidence at the moment so not a forecast YET #UKweather

A cooler + more changeable period of weather on the way Some rain around next few days Cooler and showery for all from Wed, will feel FRESH High pressure nosing in Sat (22nd) into Sun so drier/calmer again, probably Mon too Changeable again after that to September #UKweather
