Cardano Hydra can be the high frequency deterministic transfer and settlement layer for Wall Street or Nasdaq because it does not just move orders quickly, it settles them inside the Hydra head through cryptographic agreement between all participants. For example, on Wall Street a trade might be matched in microseconds, yet actual settlement still moves through a traditional legacy process, clearing houses, custodians and banks multiple levels of trust and possible exploitation. Even with the shift to T plus one, settlement is still a daily batch process with reconciliation, exposure and operational friction in the middle. Markets feel instant, but ownership definitely is not. Cardano Hydra removes that entire dependency. Funds are committed to the head in advance, so every transfer, trade or contract update settles in real time between the parties that are actually involved. Once a state update is agreed, every participant holds the same signed view. There is no clearing cycle, no overnight exposure and no waiting for a chain of intermediaries to finalise what has already been economically agreed. Global finality arrives when the head anchors its net outcome back to Cardano layer one. Instead of waiting for end of day settlement windows across Wall Street or Nasdaq’s clearing chains, Hydra can commit its result many times throughout the day. When it does, the settlement becomes immutable, auditable and globally recognised on Cardano it's actually boosted by its reputable 8+ years of reliability and peer reviewed research driven development. Hydra leans on a base layer that has run for more than eight years without downtime or rollback. This is the level of continuity and predictability that financial infrastructure demands. Significant layer one throughput work is also underway, such as Leios, input endorsers and pipelined improvements. These will continue to compress the time between execution and final settlement, directly supporting high frequency environments. Cardano Hydra brings together real time execution, real settlement and a foundation built for resilience and financial integrity. It is structurally aligned with how capital markets understand risk, collateral and ownership. It is the place to build.

Privacy isn’t an add-on. It’s the default, the starting point. Everyone deserves the right to rational privacy: choosing what to share, when, and with whom. We can’t build the future of Web3 without it.
As crypto reaches more mainstream users, the need for privacy is more urgent than ever.

Together, #Cardano + #Midnight will offer a full regulatory-grade enterprise stack: ✅ Identity (PRISM) ✅ Compliance + Settlement (Cardano) ✅ Confidential Execution (Midnight) No other ecosystem offers that integrated triad. Ethereum, Solana, and Cosmos all require patchwork solutions.

I like Sui and didn’t really want to write this post but here we are. It simply doesn’t match up to Cardano on several fundamental fronts and that is why Cardano continues to be valued more by the market. You have highlighted a handful of industry metrics but you have missed the core principles that actually matter such as decentralization and accessibility. Take validator participation for example. To become a Sui validator you need around 30 million SUI staked which is roughly 130 million USD at current prices. If that falls below about 15 to 20 million SUI your validator is considered at risk of removal. That is before even considering the infrastructure costs which are around two thousand dollars a month to run a validator with the required hardware and uptime. On Cardano my pool costs roughly two hundred and fifty dollars a month to operate and anyone with technical skill and a modest budget can join. It does not favour the wealthy the way Sui does. Another thing is network distribution. Cardano currently has around two thousand seven hundred and seventeen stake pools with stake spread across the world while Sui has only around one hundred and seventeen validators. That is a significant difference in decentralization and shows how much broader and more community driven Cardano’s network really is. With such a limited number of validators the censorship resistance on Sui is very low, centralization is very high and control is concentrated among a few large entities. Reliability is another issue. I would love to see Sui in eight years with the same uptime record Cardano already has. Sui has already experienced a major network outage in November 2024 along with a few smaller incidents affecting validators and RPC nodes. Cardano by contrast has maintained continuous operation since 2017. Then there is the matter of security. I still do not value Sui’s approach especially after the Cetus Protocol hack where validators and the core team froze the attacker’s assets by coordinating a code change. It might have protected users in the short term but it also proved that the network can be manually altered by a small group. That completely undermines the principles of immutability and decentralization that blockchains are meant to uphold. There are things Sui does technically better than Cardano such as its parallel execution model, which Cardano is rapidly working on. Instead you focused on surface level metrics that are easy to manipulate and often used by venture capital groups as marketing talking points. I do think Sui will evolve rapidly and it is already miles ahead of Solana in both design and architecture, but it still has a long way to go before it can be compared to Cardano. The market clearly values all of the above, just like I and many others do. I even created this website, you can view how decentralized and global Cardano is real-time. global.cardano-visualisation…

Midnight is a privacy-focused smart contract platform. Let me explain how it differs from current blockchains. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, and all other blockchains in the top 20 use a public ledger. All transaction information is transparent. Bitcoin can only transfer BTC, but smart contract platforms can handle multiple operations: ▪️A transfer between addresses ▪️A swap on a DEX ▪️ Minting and burning ▪️ Voting, staking, governance actions, etc. Each transaction reveals the sender, the recipient, the asset being sent and its amount, and the operation that was performed. Once anyone can link a blockchain address to your identity, they can usually: ▪️ View your current balance ▪️ Explore your transaction history, including DeFi operations. ▪️ See what assets you hold ▪️ See how you voted ▪️ See who you delegate coins to So if you send me an asset, I can find out all this about you. If you were to pay in a store via blockchain (which is not common), the cashier would find out all this about you. If you have ever sent coins from an exchange to your wallet, the authorities can find out all this about you because your identity (KYC) is linked to the blockchain address. For users, this is an unpleasant side effect of using blockchain. Companies, banks, and authorities are responsible for protecting their data and also users' data (GDPR). From the business point of view, they do not want to expose their financial transactions to the public. Using blockchain is a challenge for them. Midnight will be capable of the following operations: ▪️Anonymous: Sender and receiver identities are obscured, but amounts or some metadata may still be public ▪️Confidential: The amounts or transaction values are hidden, but sender and receiver identities might still be known (or partially known) ▪️Private: Everything, identities, assets, amounts, and operations are hidden Midnight aims to support private transactions or something very close to it. Midnight's power lies in the ability of selective disclosure. Selective disclosure means you might voluntarily reveal a part of the transaction data, e.g., sender or amount, to some auditor or party. That means privacy is configurable, not forced. The public will not be able to reveal anything about your transactions from the "public" ledger. The ledger will be publicly available, but the data in it will not be possible to decrypt. However, you will be able to reveal a part of this data to the authority or anybody if necessary, for example, for tax purposes. The possibilities are endless. For example: ▪️The recipient can prove how much of an asset he received, but the senders will remain hidden. ▪️It will be possible to prove who voted for what/whom without revealing the voter. ▪️It will be possible to prove the operation of the service (volume, number of transactions, etc.) while users will remain anonymous. In the Cardano ecosystem, in addition to Midnight, ZK Rollups, Starstream, ZK Bridge, and others are being built. Although transaction data in Cardano will probably remain transparent, we can enjoy privacy. I would like to emphasize privacy in the Cardano vision document. I think privacy is a necessary prerequisite for the adoption of any blockchain by banks, companies, and governments. However, privacy is important for users first and foremost. @MidnightNtwrk @midnightfdn

The road to Omega is full of challenges and surprises, but it will solve the pillar of scalability once and for all. Midnight and partnerchains give us interoperability, and we are well on our way to governance being recursively self-improving. Cardano is the ONLY true 3rd generation blockchain. The rest took shortcuts. We chose innovation and progress.
FACT: Leios Lite will bring a 30–55x increase in throughput for Cardano. IOG plans to roll out Leios in iterations, with Leios Lite as the first major step toward full deployment.

Dear Cardano Community, As you know, in May 2025, IOG engaged McDermott Will & Schulte and BDO to conduct an Investigative Report and Forensic Audit concerning the ada Voucher Program, redemptions of Vouchers, Cardano blockchain upgrades, and the use of ada associated with unredeemed Vouchers.  It is now complete!  The 128 page Investigative Report and Forensic Audit, dated September 2, 2025, documents certain milestone events and decisions in Cardano’s 10 year history and investigates a series of public accusations made on social media alleging wrongdoing concerning the Topics of the Investigative Report and Forensic Audit.   The public accusations included five principle allegations: (1) Cardano insiders stole or otherwise misused ada that should have been allocated to Voucher Holders; (2) improper sales tactics were used in connection with the Voucher Program; (3) Cardano blockchain upgrades were designed to make it difficult to redeem Vouchers; (4) Cardano blockchain upgrades deleted Voucher Holders’ “private keys” or assets; and (5) that Cardano insiders had no legal right to send unredeemed ada to CDH and decide how to spend it. I am pleased to report that the Investigative Report and Forensic Audit reaches the following conclusion: “After review of tens of thousands of documents, a forensic on-chain and traditional forensic analysis, and eighteen formal interviews of current employees, former employees, Voucher Holders, service providers, community members, and other third parties, the Investigation determined that each of the allegations related to the Topics of Investigation do not have any basis.” I encourage anyone interested to read the Investigative Report and Forensic Audit.  It may be found in its entirety here: adaredemptiontransparency.co… It has been a long ride, and I want to personally thank the Cardano Community for your patience and support.

Doubting Cardano? Bitcoiners are currently worried that only 2 pools control more than 51% of the hash rate. Check out Cardano’s decentralization.

Cardano has arguably chosen one of the most difficult paths to success. While the community clings to the principles of decentralization, other blockchains have come much further in terms of user numbers and adoption. There's a common assumption that being the most decentralized blockchain will naturally lead to being the most widely adopted—but for now, that simply doesn't reflect reality. Some projects move faster. Their success is often driven by shortcuts, massive capital, and influence, and it can seem like ideals don’t always win. This can be frustrating. Let’s look at some examples: • The Cardano community often highlights its excellent position on the Edinburgh Decentralization Index, and rightfully so. Cardano is the only chain in the top 10 that has on-chain governance. It’s an impressive achievement. However, people naturally gravitate toward the most practical and effective solutions available. The concept of decentralization is often too abstract for everyday users to appreciate. Every blockchain is decentralized to some extent. From the perspective of the average user, high decentralization is seen as an obstacle to scalability rather than an advantage. • We have seen many times that even when something goes wrong—like a major exploit or hack—users often get their money back, either through intervention or even a blockchain rollback. Despite the fact that it breaks decentralization principles, users remain loyal. Let's not wait for people to start migrating to Cardano after the next restart of some VC chain. Let's accept that it won't happen. • Similar symptoms are also evident in the debate about stablecoins. The Cardano community is proud of Cardano Native Assets, which have the same properties as ADA or BTC, i.e., it is not possible to freeze an account or censor transactions. This is a great feature, but people are much more likely to use USDC and USDT, despite the fact that censorship of transactions and freezing of accounts is possible through a smart contract. The GENIUS Act implicitly requires features that Circle and Tether stablecoins have. We may strongly reject this as a violation of blockchain principles, but the reality is that adoption will surge forward, without Cardano. Challenges for Cardano For Cardano, this presents a serious challenge, especially when it comes to competition and time-to-market. While Cardano may eventually match Solana in scalability and build out a robust L2 ecosystem like Ethereum, other blockchains are already offering these features today. We shouldn’t be surprised that users flock to platforms that deliver the “best” experience. It's worth remembering that “best” is a subjective term. For most users, it means fast, cheap transactions, sleek interfaces, and ease of use—not necessarily decentralization or long-term security. This is the reality Cardano must navigate: even with superior principles and future-ready infrastructure, delayed delivery gives others a head start. Even if Cardano becomes the most scalable blockchain in the top 10 and offers a developer-friendly environment, there's still the difficult question: How do we attract users who don’t value decentralization and security as much as we do? Most users are already comfortable with other wallets, platforms, and ecosystems, many dominated by powerful centralized players. Cardano has to compete with centralized entities with huge user bases that are building their own networks, be it Binance Chain and Coinbase's Base. The truth is, principles alone won't drive user migration to Cardano. Yet at the same time, compromising on those values isn't an option—doing so would undermine the very mission of the project. Being a technically superior blockchain with a principled user base but minimal adoption won't secure Cardano's future. Like Bitcoin or any blockchain, economic sustainability depends on active usage. That means growing on-chain activity, not just maintaining ideals. Long-term security cannot be achieved through ideals and faith, but only through fees. That is the reality. So Cardano must strive for market dominance and a strong network effect. Cardano’s mission is tough, as we must remain true to our principles while matching, or better yet, surpassing, the user experience of the current leaders. Moreover, it must happen as soon as possible. How to achieve it? To reach millions of users, Cardano may need a powerful strategic partner—a nation-state or multinational corporation. Organic growth is the preferred method of adoption, but we may need a boost in this form. A government-issued stablecoin on Cardano (we tried it in Wyoming) or expansion in developing regions—like Cardano for Africa—could be game-changing. We must actively pursue these large-scale opportunities, despite previous failures. If a stablecoin on Cardano is ever to reach a multi-billion-dollar valuation, it won’t necessarily be the one that emerges from our ecosystem. A more realistic path is the adoption of an established or institutionally backed stablecoin—possibly even from a player like BlackRock. While USDM and our other stablecoin projects have potential, and we all want to see them succeed, we should remain open to broader scenarios. It may also be time to explore bold, unconventional moves: launching a Cardano-centric media outlet to control the narrative, or even building a Cardano-first exchange to onboard users directly. These are long-term, costly efforts—but they could unlock real independence and growth. On the builder front, attracting and deeply supporting developers is critical. Treasury spending will need to increase to offer funding, tools, and infrastructure if we want a thriving ecosystem. Finally, Bitcoin DeFi on Cardano is a real opportunity, but success depends on real BTC moving on-chain, solving liquidity, and delivering value. Competing chains are eyeing the same goal—we must act decisively to turn this narrative into tangible adoption. It’s important to clearly understand where Cardano stands within the broader crypto industry. Recognizing the current landscape—both the strengths and the challenges—is essential for making informed decisions about the project’s future. Without that awareness, we risk building in the wrong direction.

What infuriates me about this so-called “redemption scandal” is how arrogantly people speak without the faintest grasp of the actual history. I was there. I lived it. I personally ran the Sales App project, the backbone of the KYC and voucher system. I deployed the first AVVM instance and watched the grueling, thankless years of work that went into making sure people could redeem by @IOHK_Charles and IOG. Redemption wasn’t some half-assed operation. It was a full-blown campaign, built from scratch. A dedicated team worked tirelessly for years tracking down unredeemed participants. YEARS. Not months. Not a single cycle. Years. And one of the primary reasons much of this wasn't made public? To protect those very users from social engineering attacks. To redeem, people needed access to their original registration email and supporting documents. They had to complete limited KYC. Many of them weren't tech-savvy. Some were borderline vulnerable, and would’ve been easy prey if this information had been openly broadcast. Still not enough? IOG hired an entire team in Japan to physically track down unredeemed holders via postal mail, cold calls, in-person visits, and media outreach. They even launched a second redemption campaign. I challenge anyone throwing stones today to point to any crypto project that went to these lengths for legacy users. You won’t find one. And after nearly seven years of relentless, careful, behind-the-scenes work, people who contributed nothing. Attention seekers and shit actors are trying to burn it down in the name of "truth seeking". Let me be crystal clear: fuck off. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, and frankly, you're not qualified to speak on the matter. What you're doing isn't whistleblowing or truth seeking. It’s performative ignorance, dressed up as outrage for internet points.
