1/2 I'm very proud to announce today we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Metroid Database's online existence! We are older than Google! October 16 1996 - October 16 2026. HUGE thanks to @xuuikie for creating our new banner art.
At last, confirmation that there was an intention to have Samus's ship as a playable part.
In Metroid Prime 3 the original idea for Samus' ship was for it to be more of an autonomous thing where you could use it to take out enemies, or use it as a platform to access other places.
@Kweepa prototyped it but it was heavily scaled back in the full game.

Not released yet, but this hacker is putting Super Samus into SOTN. It's likely vibe coded for the most part, but meh, should lead to a pretty good time once it's done! Will be closely following this one.
I guess that's another similar project in the works as well.

The trickiest part of pulling this off is learning how to break your spin jump in order to do the spark.
