Amongst all the scary environmental news, here is a rare glimmer of hope and progress.
We must remember to celebrate the wins so here's some 🍾 and ❤️ to the #StopEcocide team who have been pushing this for a decade. And to the late, great Polly Higgins who kicked it all off.
ICYMI: The EU has become the first international body to criminalise wide-scale environmental damage, including habitat loss and illegal logging.
This is a huge step to #StopEcocide and could lead to new environmental protections 🌳

I always enjoy reading about the time and effort it takes to make a documentary. It took 7 years for this very experienced team to complete 'Invisible Nation' about Taiwans first female president. Though the delay is agonising, the story usually benefits.

There's a lot to celebrate about this news, but what made me smile the most is that Stella McCartney styled the defendants, lending them shirts, blazers and suits to wear during the trial. 🩵

Today I can share I'm challenging the PM on the legality of abandoning key Net Zero commitments
I believe the timeline for the UK to meet Net Zero cannot be changed at will by the PM – I contend that he does not have the legal right

In 2022, the six largest western oil companies made more money than in any year in the history of the industry: over $200bn, largely from pumping and selling the fossil fuels the world must replace to avert the climate crisis.

Discovering this fabulously grumpy account brightened up my morning.
Some top quality sarky (and sweary) ranting about the many bad town planning decision that make public spaces less livable and lovable.
Yes there is a lot of parking and tarmac. Don’t worry though we have got a green roof, well it’s coloured green if nothing else…

Tomorrow the world's nations meet at #COP15 to negotiate a new deal and targets for nature
The last deal included 20 targets
Globally, we met ZERO
Targets are worth nothing without implementation and enforcement
