Decentralization is one of crypto's superpowers, but it was mostly kicked it to the curb while everyone gambled on memecoins It starts with a Squiggle and hopefully grows into something much much bigger 👇
1/ On Squiggle #6529 I would like to explain why we are excited about “buying a Squiggle” While Squiggles are, in fact, sweet, the exciting part is that every part of this process happened in a decentralized manner. 2/ @aRegularDad proposed a Meme Card to fund a Squiggle acquisition. 81 profiles participated in the Main Stage vote and voted with TDH to mint this as a Meme Card The card won. 77 paid editions were minted, providing 2.51 ETH for the acquisition. 3/ @cheesebiz and @bankons helped scout and connected @squiggleDAO . SquiggleDAO suggested trying to acquire Squiggle 6529 The price was 3.01 ETH, so @MadaCollects who had been following the discussion, chipped in another 0.5 ETH to the pool (respect!) 4/ The seller wanted to stay anonymous, preserve the provenance (no intermediary transfers) and keep their vault secure. Ultimately, the seller trusted SquiggleDAO and 6529 network and sent the Squiggle directly to the 6529 Network Museum before receiving payment. 5/ Reminder: What is the 6529 network museum? It is a SAFE vault organized by TDH, owned by the network, a cultural asset, NFTs go in, but ~they do not go out. It is the network-native concept of a national public museum 6/ Finally, one more step to replace the temporary art on the card with something appropriate for the long-term. Well, another TDH vote of course. @ricardotakamura won with THE VAULT, a long-exposure light painting made at Casa NUA in Brazil. 7/ So to recap: - Decentralized network mints a meme card to buy a squiggle - Decentralized network picks which squiggle to buy - Decentralized network updates the art - Decentralized network permanent home for the squiggle 8/ What was my contribution to any step of this project? Nothing at all. I was not involved at all in any way. I had a vague awareness that it was happening, but was not following any of the details, let alone helping. 9/ Now, some of you are thinking “ok, fine, that is cute, the NFT nerds are collecting NFTs again” Maybe. Or maybe collecting NFTs is a generalizable proof of concept, and there is no actual limit to this primitive. We will see soon enough. 10/ Thank you to all who organized, the voters and everyone who minted. Great job by all.

a lot of people like the idea of decentralization but don't understand why BTC miners solve math puzzles and why ETH validators stake ETH

What a lot of people miss is that decentralization means more than the distributed ownership on a token. Underlying infrastructure matters @Ars0nic

6529 isn’t like the Apes. @osseneth Lol What we’ve built here is the result of the collective efforts of countless artists, collectors and builders who’ve been through a lot and become pretty battle hardened over the years! The way you talk about this just shows that you genuinely have no idea what we’re doing at 6529! I’ve seen plenty of people like you over the past five years. Wealthy guys who jump into the space by buying art (attention!?) and then quickly either launch their own scam projects or just fade away :) But I only know one person who’s spent all five of those years consistently building the very thing people like you are criticizing. 6529 is the real deal. If you don’t get it, that’s fine. You’ll figure it out eventually lol, Just show respect
Let's call 6529 what it is. 🚪 Gatekeeping sold as curation. 🗳️ Ownership-weighted voting sold as democracy. ⛏️ A 50% mint cut sold as patronage. ⛓️ Dependence sold as opportunity. Call it decentralization all you want. The house always wins. 💀

If you liked the post above, move on to the one below 🍻
hehe see? I told you Respectfully ma'am, you have no idea what we're doing! When you say "the top TDH wallets," do you mean the people who've collected the most and held their collections for the longest time? You're looking at one tiny piece of the puzzle and judging the entire thing based on that! Maybe nobody's ever properly explained it to you, but you're in luck now, because I'm gonna explain what the 6529 Network State actually means, with all the humility in the world, and in a language you can understand! First of all, I'd like you to go back and take another look at everything we value at 6529. If exploring this ecosystem feels too complicated, I'd suggest reading @punk6529 's pinned post from beginning to end. It covers the different areas that define our values. But I've got my own perspective to share! The Memes by 6529 isn't just about putting artists' work onchain as a tokenized art collection. In fact, the artists and their work in The Memes are the backbone of this entire network! We're building something that goes way, way beyond an art gallery or a curated collection! And the beautiful thing is that it's completely open-source, free, CC0 and most importantly, built around the principles of decentralization! Why does that matter? I'll explain more :)) Step by step. Why do I believe in punk6529? Long before punk6529 had a platform or anything to sell, a reputation had already been built in a completely different way! Punk spent an enormous amount of time collecting artists' work and a LOT of money too! Way more than you lolol But it went far beyond simply being a collector. Punk brought collectors/builders/creators/and many together, organized a free NFT course at the University of Nicosia at 2022 and gathered some of the best people in the space to educate others properly. some really incredible things happened back then. You weren't around to witness them, dear, but if you wanna get a feel for the vibe of those days, check this out: oncyber.io/6529om (BTW, since you're such a big fan of ACK, you should definitely check it out!) Anyway, a lot of time has passed since then. plenty of accounts say all the right things. Some are great collectors, some genuinely love NFTs, but what made punk6529 different? Punk actually took action! The Memes by 6529 was born because "Who controls the memes, controls the universe", Because we believed memes could play a meaningful role in communicating ideas and not just within some tiny corner of the internet, but on a global scale! you know even Elon has posted memes, right? But was that all there was to it? Absolutely not! That was just the point where we started figuring out exactly what we needed, while running into a thousand different problems along the way. problemss ? yes! BTW, do you know what a GAS WAR is?! That randomly came to mind because I remember how everyone used to complain about it. Well, what happened? Today, we have one of the fairest allowlist systems for collections! I brought up gas wars because back then people were constantly complaining about gas fees, minting, and all that stuff. But we've since built some really useful solutions, like Subscriptions! Go explore what that is, lol. We've already solved a thousand problems like this in our network :) So what did 6529 actually become? Just another NFT collection featuring artists? Or another platform like Discord? No, my fren! PLANS MEASURED IN CENTURIES!!! What do you mean, Meysam?? YES, MA'AM! REALLY! PLANS MEASURED IN CENTURIES! We wanted to build a system with a strong, resilient structure that could keep functioning over an incredibly long period of time. A network where, as I mentioned, artists and collectors were the first communities to become active. They were the ones who formed the backbone of this network and helped it grow! And in the future, we'll see how this ecosystem expands to include entirely different communities. That's exactly why I keep saying we're not just another community built around a PFP/NFT collection. We're a NETWORK in every sense of the word. Right now, you can find pretty much every artistic style and medium imaginable within The Memes. We have participation, coexistence and so many incredible artists who've submitted their work. And we're taking a step that's infinitely important! Something the world has never seen before! How? Because we're decentralizing decision making! Yes, decentralized decision making in a decentralized structure! And now we've finally reached the point where I can tell you to go read about the concept of a Network State. Because that's exactly what we're building here. A DECENTRALIZED NETWORK STATE! Hahaha, do you know why everyone kept telling you decentralization matters in their posts? Do you know why decentralization has become such a personal concern for me, especially as an artist? For the exact same reason I explained in my message to you, the one you didn't even bother to read! YES! Go read that damn message and understand what I've been dealing with as an artist because of OpenSea's completely centralized environment. Seriously, read that damn message and put yourself in my shoes. I promise you'll become a massive supporter of decentralization! Anyway, back to the point. I was saying we're building a Network State. By the way, do you know Balaji? Do you know what Steemit is? Do you know what Hive was? Do you know what happened when Justin Sun hijacked the Steemit Network because it wasn't sufficiently decentralized, causing an entire fascinating community of creators and writers, built by people from Reddit and Medium, to fall apart?! Because the backbone of their entire ecosystem depended on something that could be taken over relatively easily, with devastating consequences! TDH, though? Fucking genius! But is TDH alone enough? NO! And that's exactly why we have things like REP, which represents reputation; NIC, which relates to identity verification; and XTDH, which reflects your participation in other NFT collections as recognized by their own communities! And these are just the tip of the iceberg. Come over here and let's talk more about TDH: 6529.io/waves/b38288e6-ca9d-… I'd love to tell you about validation. I'd love to explain the vision for the future of coordination between humans and AI. I'd genuinely love to write another ten pages so you could fully understand what I'm talking about. But here's the thing: Everything I've written to you so far is about what we've ALREADY BUILT AND DONE. Not what we're planning to do in the future... Now, if you want, come hang out at dive bar and we can talk more about this whole TDH thing. Maybe I'll even manage to convince you to buy a few Memecards and earn some TDH! Oh, and by the way, I'm not a whale, and I've never even submitted a Memecard myself. All of this is coming from someone like me! and future? see you in last day in 2027!
