Post Falls is fully operational with our 287(g) partnership with ICE! Some say there aren't many illegal aliens in North Idaho, but we arrested 13 during the first few days in a joint operation with ICE by checking some job sites. We're up to 15 now. How many are really here?

A timely reminder for Idaho: NGOs are not above scrutiny.
Last legislative session, Idaho had bills to hold organizations accountable for knowingly aiding illegal immigration AND require basic transparency from refugee-resettlement NGOs.
The NGO lobby fought back. Both measures died in their original form.
Maybe asking questions and demanding accountability isn’t so unreasonable after all.

Republicans: “The free market is the most efficient system for negotiating the price of goods and services.”
Also Republicans: “My donors don’t want to pay the market rate for labor so we must import more cheap foreign workers.”
Utah employers tell me time and again how difficult it's become to find enough workers to meet growing demands. Our bill allows states to sponsor visas tailored to their unique workforce needs, while ensuring rigorous federal vetting and accountability.

The H-1B visa program was originally intended to bring in foreign workers only when Americans aren’t available. Instead, corporations have exploited it to replace American workers with cheaper foreign labor.
I’m urging the Department of Labor to raise the wage floors that make this abuse profitable. When the financial incentive disappears, so does the scheme.

EXCLUSIVE — just received this wild video from a source!
Big Ag isn’t the only industry in Idaho that owns @GovernorLittle
Take a look as a PAC Rep from the Idaho Homebuilder’s Association openly admits at least one-third of Idaho’s homebuilding industry are “foreign born” and illegals.
It’s so bad illegal aliens admit they aren’t even worried about ICE, meanwhile American citizens can’t even compete to make a living.
I don’t know if this is more selfish or un-American. It’s certainly both.

Even with Trump in the White House, federal tax dollars continue to subsidize refugee resettlement in Idaho. Last fall, Jannus was handed $1.1 million for cash assistance and healthcare coverage.

Every meaningful illegal immigration & illegal labor bill failed this session.
But they got further than ever before and that didn’t happen by accident.

A watered-down E-Verify bill backed by BigAg just moved to General Orders.
Here’s why that matters:
This bill already passed the Senate in a weakened form.
Right now, it falls short of real enforcement.
Real E-Verify means:
• Most or all employers verify workers
• No major carveouts
• Real penalties that actually change behavior
This version (SB 1247):
• Only applies if a business has 150+ employees AND a $100k+ state contract
• Leaves most private employers untouched, including major sectors like agriculture and construction
• Exempts subcontractors and excludes independent contractors
• No fines. No license suspension. Weak, optional penalties
In other words, it mostly preserves the status quo while claiming “enforcement.”
Now the House has a chance to fix it on the floor.
If they do and it passes, it goes straight back to the Senate for concurrence.
No committee. No delay.
That means each individual Senator has to decide.
Real E-Verify
or
A loophole-filled version that doesn’t stop illegal hiring
Either way, they own that vote.
Idahoans will see exactly where their Senators stand.

The media says these bills are “crashing into political reality.”
No. They’re crashing into political cowardice.
These bills passed the House.
They have strong public support.
They reflect exactly what Idaho voters keep demanding.
What’s stopping them?
• Senate leadership refusing hearings
• Lobby pressure
• Special interests protecting cheap labor
• A lack of leadership from our Governor
That’s not “reality.” That’s a choice.
Idaho is deep red. If we can’t pass basic immigration enforcement here, it’s not because voters don’t want it. It’s because politicians won’t act.
Give the bills a hearing.
Let them get a vote.
Let the public see who stands where.

Meanwhile @IACI1974 is texting this gaslighting message to constituents in District 32.
IACI is the lobbying arm for major corporate interests in Big Ag, dairy, and construction.
They claim Rep. Bingham supports immigration enforcement.
Her actual voting record: NO on every enforcement bill this session.

H659 just got routed to Senate State Affairs.
That's the wrong committee.
This bill sits in Title 19, criminal procedure, and it mandates every sheriff's department and municipal police agency in Idaho enter 287(g) agreements with ICE. Judiciary and Rules handles that. Has nothing to do with State Affairs, which exists for elections and government structure questions.
A bill this significant, requiring mandatory ICE cooperation from literally every law enforcement agency in the state, deserves an actual hearing. Instead it's sitting in a committee where it'll probably never get a vote.
If you want this heard, contact Senator Kelly Anthon and ask him to move it to the right committee where it belongs.

@SenatorShippy, you say legal hiring verification burdens law-abiding businesses.
In reality, the current system burdens the businesses following the law while contractors using illegal labor cut costs and win the job.
Idaho builders playing by the rules are getting squeezed.
Senator, you should talk to the Marine veteran, homebuilder, and father of six who testified that illegal hiring is pushing contractors like him out of the market.

Nine minutes of Idaho [republican] Representatives arguing against implementing E-Verify and/or criminal charges for employing illegals.
It's all here friends:
✔️Idaho economy depends on illegals
✔️It's not slavery
✔️Jobs Americans won't do
✔️Chobani
✔️E-Verify is not conservative
✔️Again, the economy
✔️It's the Fed's fault
✔️Cartels support this legislation
✔️Idaho needs "these people"
✔️Idaho Ag follows the law
✔️But, the economy
✔️Trump wants Idaho to have illegals
✔️This is unconstitutional
✔️Year round work visa's are a better idea
✔️Bad for Idaho economy
✔️Idaho Big Ag ≠ plantations
